Gianna placed her hands over her tummy, gently caressing it. If she was pregnant, then she had a very big problem. Lord Luther must never find out. She didn't know what he would do to her if he found out that she carried a child for a man he doesn't know about.

But then again, she thought, it's not as if she could hide the pregnancy forever. A time would come, and she would have no choice but to tell him the truth.

She sighed, getting up from the floor. She would have to start preparing for that situation then. But as of now, she couldn't tell him anything.

Gianna walked back to the chamber and went straight to her bed. She laid down on it, deep in thoughts. It was times like this that made her wish she had a female friend. She had a few she could call friends back when Micheal was still alive, but when her husband's business began to go down in ruins, so many of them didn't want to associate with her. She was exceptionally sad about that, but then, there was nothing she could do.

Gianna resumed work the next day. She had mapped out how the decorations were to be carried out and had instructed the maids on what they should do. Luther had permitted her to walk around the castle to gain a better view of what should be done. She had woken up early that day in anticipation of the job. Not only would she be able to plan for a ball, but she would also be able to walk around the halls of the castle. Gianna had worn a purple dress that had sequin embroidered on it, and had tied her hair up into a simple hairdo. Luther took one look at her and smiled proudly, causing her to blush. Together they went to his office and immediately started their work.A few hours after mapping out the plan, Gianna went out with the maids to study the castle outline. They walked straight to the ballroom, and Gianna paused in the centre, studying the wide scape of it."My lady, what do you think?" A maid asked, coming from behind her. Gianna turned to look at her and noticed that she was t

The following weeks went by in a flash. As the day drew nearer and nearer to the time of the ball, Gianna grew more nervous. Fortunately for her, she had Ana to help her through it all.Ana was the perfect friend she had hoped for. Although they only met whenever she had to work, She still thought it better than having no friend at all. They were done with arranging the ballroom and had already prepared the dishes that would be served that day. She grew more comfortable relating with those who were meant to help her, and she looked forward to always meeting them."What are you going to wear?" Ana asked. They were both in the kitchen overseeing the cooks preparing what was needed for that day. Though the cooking wouldn't begin immediately, it was good to make sure that everything was intact before that day came. "I am not sure yet." She said, watching as a male servant carried a sack of flour into the kitchen. "When that time comes, I guess.""How can you not have a dress prepared? Di

Ever since the day Luther noticed how close Gianna was getting to that maid, he instantly became suspicious of her. He secretly placed a piece of his magic on the maid to study her when she was not with Gianna, and it turned out he was right. The girl was planning something devious, and another person was in tandem to her plan. He supposed he shouldn’t have been surprised by how vile she talked about Gianna, but that didn’t mean he was just going to sit down and ignore it. Her attitude would cost her head, and he would gladly take it away from her.For the other family, he already had an idea who it was. He never paid attention to any of their antics to get him to pay attention to them, so they took it further and focused on Gianna. He could only wonder just what it was they wished to do with her, but that wouldn’t matter in the end. After the ball, he would be stripping them of their elite title. @@@@@The elite servant who had just finished talking with Ana finally arrived at the fr

It was the day of the ball. Luther was rounding up his work for the day so that he could get prepared when a knock sounded on his study doors."Come in," he commanded, closing a scroll. The door opened, and three men entered inside, bowing their heads in respect as the door closed right behind them."My Lord, we have returned with news." The leader said. They were the men Luther had sent earlier to find out about Gianna's past. "What took you so long?" He asked. "You were supposed to have returned ages ago.""My Lord, we were caught up with something during the investigation, which took most of our time."Luther sighed. "Leave a written report on my desk. Then you can go back.""Thank you, my Lord." The leader walked forward and placed a scroll atop Luther's desk. "We would take our leave now."When they left, Luther studied the scroll in silence. He inwardly contemplated checking its contents then, or checking it after the ball just in case it contained things that were sure to annoy

Luther nodded and waved his hand. Mr. Handal then turned towards Gianna and flashed a charming grin."Good day, my lady," he bowed. "Rumours have it that you are the one who prepared all this. I have to say so for myself, that you are incredibly talented.""Thank you, my Lord." Gianna curtsied. "Forgive my boldness, but may I ask who you are?"Gianna glanced at Luther, and when she saw he made no reaction, she answered."I am Gianna, personal servant to the supreme lord.""Oh," Mr. Handal said, looking intrigued. "That's good then."He turned to face his Majesty. "My Lord, if you are willing, I have a son that is ripe for marriage. I would love it if you can allow them to meet. Who knows if perhaps, something comes out of it."Gianna's eyes widened and she quickly looked towards Luther, nervously twiddling her fingers. The man wants her to get married to his son? Why would he? She was sure most of the elite saw her as the king's slut. Why does he suddenly have an interest in her?Whil

TRIGGER WARNING: THIS CHAPTER CONTAINS SCENES OF RAPE AND ASSAULT. Gianna sat and watched the dance till she grew bored. Several members of the elite class had made a bold step and asked her for a dance. She was flattered but remembered the order lord Luther had given her against going out with someone she didn’t know. She wished she could join the dance though, but then again, she also knew that she was lucky to even be able to attend it. After a while, people slowly began to make their way out of the ball. It was close to daybreak, and it was about time for people to start leaving for their houses. One by one they came to see her, thanking her for Co-hosting such a wonderful ball, and asking her to send their greetings to the supreme lord. Gianna felt honored for the way they treated her, but she could feel the fear that lined their treatment. After banishing Mr. Handal and his family, the others would be stupid to try and make any form of slight remark against her. Finally, when

  • The Abomination   Chapter Twenty Seven: Years later...

PART THREE800 years later... Presently... Gwendolyn hummed to the lyrics of the songs she had just finished creating. She was to present it to her boss once she reached the office. "Hey, Gwen?" "Yes, mum?" She stopped what she was doing to take a look at her mother. Her mother had just finished bathing and had put on a red silk robe as she let out her ebony waist-length hair to air dry. She walked into the side kitchen and seconds later, sounds of ceramics bowls could be heard. "How is your songwriting going?" She asked from the kitchen. Gwendolyn dropped the notebook she was with on the couch she was currently slouching on and sat up, looking towards where her mother was. "It's okay mum. We have a new singer over at the studio and I was asked to write a song for his first performance. He has the voice but isn't much of a writer." She picked up the book again, opened it, and started humming to the songs she had written. "I just remembered. Another person got fired yesterday."

The work hours were finally over. Gwendolyn left her office and headed straight for her house. She planned on dressing up, then leaving her house again, going straight to her boyfriend’s house. It’s been a year since she and Charles started dating. Everything had been going well since the beginning of their relationship, that was, till recent times. He had been acting strange, had become secretive, and rarely had enough time for her. Maybe she was just overthinking, she thought. She finally arrived at her house and walked to the entrance, opening the door with the key she always carried around. She entered inside, not surprised to see everywhere dark. Her mother wasn’t usually around by this time of the day. She would probably still be at her little shop, attending to the customers whom she had made addicted to her confectionaries. Gwendolyn shut the door behind her, placing her coat atop the coat hanger by the door. She walked straight to her room, hung her bag by her door, and qui

The piercing scream of Luther's wife filled the air, but no one paid any attention to her. All their attention laid on Gwen, the woman who had just rescued them from the millennial reign of a mad man."What are you doing?" Tyron boomed out of nowhere. "Bow to your new leader!"Gwen turned to look at him, frowning. "What are you doing?" She whispered. "You killed the Supreme Lord of the Enu realm. You are now the new supreme lord." He said simply, shrugging. She frowned, and just as she was about to say something, Luther's wife boomed."You can't be the new leader. Not when my sons are still alive.""Your sons are barely alive," Tyron said, snickering. "Weren't you listening while I was talking? He—" he said, pointing to Luther's corpse. "Used their blood to improve his youth. Whatever he did wasn't working for him anymore, and so he turned to his own blood. Haven't you noticed something wrong with your children? Yourself even?""No!" And because if this foolish mistake of yours, your friends will suffer immensely."Immediately, Gwen summoned dark flames, her stance in attack mode. Gwen and Luther finally reached the throne. Though the woman didn’t say anything, Gwen could still much feel the scorching stare of Luther’s wife on her back. She gulped, trying to calm her nerves down. By the time she was done with her plan, anger might be the last thing the woman would feel. “I hold the supreme power in this land.” Luther began. “Therefore, it is only right that i officiate a powerful wedding such as this. You are lucky,” he said, this time whispering to her. “I never did this for my first wedding.” She gritted her teeth, imagining ways by which she could kill him. She didn’t want to marry him. It was the last thing on her mind. The plan she had imagined only required them to go so far, but she never knew that they would wed in front of everyone. If she wanted to defeat this man, she had to do so immediately, and fast. Luther turned around, urging Gwen to do the same. He ran his hand gently across her back, causing cold shivers to crawl up her skin. “People of th

It was the dim light that shone from her eyes. She knew the action she was about to take. Should she fail, that would spell a fate worse than death for her. "Gwen," Sheryl said, coming up from behind her.""I am fine." Gwen answered, sighing. She looked at Tyron through the mirror. He stood at the far corner of the room, his face etched deeply in a frown, with a thick air of misery surrounding him."This is what I have to do. The fate of the realms depends on it," she said.Tyron sighed, then furiously dragged his hands through his hair."I understand, of course I understand. But why does it have to be you?"Gwen frowned slightly, cocking her head. "What do you mean?""I do not want you anywhere near that

"I will let you all leave quietly, but that shouldn't mean you should take any drastic action.""Hey, Prince Luther, I have another request-""Do not push your luck." He boomed, staring coldly at Gwen. He then released a slow sigh. "Do not push your luck. I don't want to have to repeat my past mistakes. Understand?" He said with a forced grin.Gwen gulped, then glanced back at her friends and slowly let the shield down. She stayed in place, not moving an inch until Luther's guards parted for her. They had just rounded off their meeting when the supreme lord suddenly appeared in the garden."Well, well. Why am I not surprised?" He said, walking in. Behind him were several fully armed guards, their presence ominous.Gwen and her friends moved a step back, with Gwen standing in front of them in a protective manner.Luther chuckled. "What do you think you're doing?""I wouldn't let you harm my friends." Gwen said defensively. Luther sighed, shaking his head. "You should have thought of that before you escaped.""Why are you acting like you didn't know when I left that room. You planned all this, just to follow me.""You are smart. I have never doubted that." He said, and Gwen grimaced."Fine then." He clapped his hands. "There is only one thing to do if you want your friends to be safe."Gwen's frown deepened. Tyron said, dragging his gaze over her."Yeah," Sheryl added. "We thought you'd be held by the supreme lord.""I was." Geen answered. "But I was able to escape."At that, Tyron's frown deepened. "Something's very wrong." He pointed out. "Quick, cast a protection spell over us."Gwen frowned. "How do I do that?" "I don't know. Make it seem like we are in the Zruch realm or something."Gwen understood immediately what he meant. Hester and Marc had once mentioned that it's Impossible for people to be tracked once they were in the realm. She sighed, pinched her already injured arm to draw out blood, and whispered a spell while waving her hands around them. A dark cloudy smoke appeared and covered them, then suddenly disappeared."Good." Tyron said, sighing in relief. "Now let's get out of here."Gwen no

Gwen stared at him in shock. “You are lying.” “I might be many things, my dear, but I will never lie to you.” he sat by the edge of her bed. “I sent him on a mission to bring the Abomination to me. That was what he was doing at first, but his plans changed when he realized you were the Abomination. I don’t blame him though. I would have done the same myself.” Gwen touched a hand to her chest, hyperventilating. He was lying. He had to be. Tyron wasn’t the type who would play her like that. But the more she thought about it, the more the idea seemed plausible. He had never mentioned who his father was, only that he was part of the elite in this realm. He had also said that his father sent him in search for something, which he later claimed to be the abomination. According to him, his “father” was determined to work with the abomination in order to bring down the supreme lord of the Enu realm. “Are you angry?” he asked with a mocking smile. “Do you feel betrayed?” Gwen swallowed, fol

Gwen couldn't sleep. She laid awake all night, afraid that Luther would enter her room. She wasn't stupid to think that just because she had locked the door, it totally prevented him from entering her room. Especially after the display he showcased the previous day. She doubted that the barrier she put around her door could stop him if he so wishes. She was brought food by maids the previous night, but she couldn't eat. For some strange reason, the maids gave off doll-like gestures, almost like they were being controlled like puppets. She wouldn't put it past Luther to actually do that. She had to up her game, and think fast. Her first plan had proven futile, which meant she had to use her second plan—her wits.It was something she detested doing because to achieve her goal, she would have to act like she had no problem being close to Luther which she absolutely did. It was morning. The sunlight seeped through her room from the half-closed windows, pouring over her bedsheets.Quickly
