Crissy is a normal girl, but her life changes when she meets Austin. Austin is an Alpha but a human wouldn't know that. They meet in an unexpected way and Crissy doesn't know her life would change for the better and for the worse. Austin instantly knows when he meets Crissy, that she is pure. All that he knows after that is that he must have her and he will stop at nothing to make it so. Even if his clan won't accept her. Crissy is mesmerised by the man that nearly killed her with his car. Entranced by his presence. Until she finds out the truth about his existence. About who he really is. Crissy is afraid about what this means for them. For their future. She is also afraid that the truth about the Abarrant clan might hurt her little brother Thomas and everything they have together. But can she leave Austin? Let all their wonderful memories turn into sand? Her head says she should. And her heart refuses to.

Chapter 1

Crissy’s Point of View"Thomas, hurry up, we’re going to be late!" I scream from downstairs. Thomas comes running down the stairs, grabs a piece of toast, and starts eating. "How did you sleep, sweetie?" I ask."Good," he replies, barely able to keep the food from spilling out of his mouth. I smile and look down at my watch, "Oh shit, come on, we need to get going. Grab your bag.” I say to Thomas with a solemn tone in my voice. We expeditiously rushed to my old Ford Ranger and drove to school. I never genuinely look around while driving. I only fixate on the road. I usually see Thomas admiring the trees and the beauty of nature. We arrive at the school. I park my car in my usual parking spot; we sit still in the car for a minute in silence."Have a nice day, and don't give your teachers too much grief. You know they talk to me," I look at Thomas with concern.“I know. See you later". He quickly jumps out of the car and walks off to class.Sometimes I worry about him. I wonder if he e

Chapter 2

Austin’s Point of View“Did you guys see our new neighbour?” Alexander blabbers.“What about her?” Michael responds with not much interest.“She’s attractive, isn’t she?” Alexander says with a smirk on my face.“Probably,” Michael says as he walks to the kitchen.“Oh, come on, why not have a little fun while we are here.” Alexander places his feet on the couch.“Dad gave us orders to stay away from the humans. We can’t compromise our location.” Michael responds with a severe expression on his face.“Come on, Austin, what do you think? Can we have some fun?” Alexander winks at me. Giving me a slight grin.I just stare at him, and I didn’t respond.“You guys are no fun. I know you went to meet her, Austin. You want her just as much as I do. Just admit it, you want to fuck her; I know I want to.” Alexander chuckles while I growl at him.Crissy’s Point of ViewI woke up feeling determined. Chapter 3

Crissy’s Point of ViewWaking up at three in the morning. I climb out of bed and made myself some coffee. Sitting outside on the porch. It was raining, and the smell of the earth was being cleansed by nature. I’m not used to being alone for so long; Thomas is always around the house. When I need company, I usually talk to him. Luckily, he will be returning home later today. Then I can finally show him the puppy. I decide to text Alexander.I text Alexander, Hey, are you awake? Not even two minutes went by. My phone buzzes. It was Alexander.Hey beautiful. Why are you up this early? The text reads.I couldn’t sleep. I apologise for bothering you, and I know this might seem strange, but do you maybe want to come over for coffee? I text back. The next minute my doorbell rings. I was a little startled because who would be out this early in the morning? I opened the door, and it was Alexander. I find this strange, he lives a mile away, and his car isn’t here, and I just sent the message a

Chapter 4

Crissy’s Point of ViewWhile lying in bed, I keep on thinking about what had happened yesterday. Taking a shower didn’t clear my head as I wanted it to. Deciding to take a walk through in the forest. Knowing I wouldn’t get lost; I knew these woods from the back of my hand. Usually when I wanted to get out of the house, I would take a walk. Having my usual routine of going to work then waiting for Thomas to finish his after school activities. I needed a break from it. I got dressed and went into the woods.I have a beautiful spot I always go to. A beautiful dam, with a small waterfall. You are able to see the entire town from there. About two miles from my house. It doesn’t sound far, but if you are unfit, it can get excusing. When I got to my favourite spot, I found a spot to sit and staring out over our little town, and there was a little barrier. This is the only spot in the woods, excluding my house, where you can see the entire town. The water was still, only the sound of the wate

Chapter 5

Austin’s Point of ViewI can’t stop thinking about her as I’m lying in my bed. Her smile, the way she stares at me with those brown eyes. I need to get to know her. I need to know what coffee she likes, how she wakes up in the morning, and what her sleepy voice sounds like. She is different from all the other women I have met over my entire existence.Every woman I’ve met was either prim and proper. They had to wear the newest fashions. Needed to keep track of all the latest trends. Other were too bitchy. Trying to take control over my life and the rest was just too soft. Saying sorry about every little, tiny thing. Dropping their lipstick “sorry.” Accidently bumping me “sorry.” But Mia, she is just something else.Doesn’t take shit from anyone. If you are in the wrong, she makes sure you know it. She isn’t afraid to show you that she cares about you. She is just real.My favorite part of her is how pure she is and the scent that she has. Just the thought of her scent being mine. Gett

Michael’s Point of View Standing stunned as Crissy storms out. I fell back into my chair. My mouth hanging open. Staring towards the door. My heart wants to climb out of my chest to run after her. Chapter 9

Crissy’s Point of ViewWhile I was lying in bed, just the thought of him treating me like that. Correct me if I’m wrong, but no one deserves that kind of treatment. My experience with men has always ended up in disasters. One cheats, and the other horrifyingly mistreats me. Why do I always want to be friends with these types of people? Or even end up dating them. What I did had to be done. I’m tired of always being walked over. I was tired of never standing up for myself, not getting what I truly deserve. Fuck him; as I told him, he’s a dick. I deserve better.I probably need to get up and start breakfast. I can’t let Thomas go hungry just because I’m in a shitty mood. Making my way to my feet and walking over to the bathroom. Opening the shower so that the water can start to heat up. Staring at myself in the mirror. My eyes were a little bit puffy from the night I can’t sleep well. Jumping into the shower. I stood there for a few minutes trying to gather all my thoughts. After my sho

Crissy’s Point of View (In Her Dreams) While driving home from university for summer break. The view of the forest when going home was terrific. I turn the music on loud. My favorite song came on; It’s my life by Bon Jovi. While dancing in the car, a deer runs in front of my car. I almost didn’t miss it. I pull off to the side of the road. My breathing was loud, and my anxiety kicking in. I grab my handbag and take my medication to calm myself down. Climbing out to get some air. Pacing back and forth waiting for the medication to do its work. Finally, it starts to work, I could breathe normally again. Fuck, that was a close call. Crissy do not mention this to mom. She might kill me. Climbing back into the car, driving in silence the entire ride home. Arriving home, my phone buzzes, and my mom’s name pops on the screen. Answering the call. Trying to keep my tone normal. Hoping my mom doesn’t notice anything different. “Hey, mom,” I say excitedly. “Hello, nugget. Are you home yet?”
