"No, you're lying. You're just making this thing up. Who asked you to say these lies huh? Vincent? Well, I'm not stupid. I won't believe you or even your boss!" she shouted as she turned her back to Vladimir. He chased her and grabbed her by arm. 

"Listen, I'm your stepbrother. Your mom had an affair—"

She slapped him, hard. Her hands were trembling and despite the soreness of her hand as it land on Vladimir's cheek she managed to clinch it into a fist. Her mom has nothing to do with the mafia and everything that Vladimir was saying right now. She won't believe him, never. Although her mom was already in heaven and wasn't able to defend herself anymore to accusations that Vladimir had been putting against her name, the memories of her mother should still be respected.

"Don't you ever try to accuse her of something she didn't do again in front of me because I don't know what I can do just to protect my mom?" Gradually, the corners of her eyes felt warm
