Chapter Sixteen II
Lander Buenavista. Lander Buenavista. Lander Buenavista.
She repeatedly says his name at the back of her head, trying her best to remember when did she heard of his name.
If she's not mistaken he's the man she is supposed to have a shoot with. She thought back to the time where she signed a contract alone because the man named, Lander Buenavista who was said to be her partner in the shoot, was nowhere to be found during this time.
She glanced at his hand. Despite her reluctance to acknowledge his hand she still accepted it.
They shook hands.
"Everyone was looking for you. I did the shoot alone a while ago. If I only knew that you're just here I already contacted Vincent."
Celestine just gave him a faint smile. In her observation, she's certain that Lander wasn't aware of Vincent's dirty business because if he does, he wouldn't act this friendly towards her.

"Do whatever you want with Celestine. It's not like I give a damn about her." Celestine kicked the stone in front of her that appeared to be mislaid in the middle of the sand. She heard everything but what only lingered in her mind until now, was that phrase. Her life has been in constant turmoil ever since she meets Vincent. Since Celestine got inside of the car she remained silent and she was thankful that Lander unexpectedly keep his mouth shut. Like her, he's also silent while driving. Celestine walks with eyes fixed on her toes, her pulse thudding noisily as she swallowed. At this hour, the sunlight started to hurt her skin yet she didn't bother shielding herself from it. As she take every step, from her peripheral vision she saw how the people they walked past reacted as they saw her. She can feel the eyes on her. They stare at her way too much that it made her uncomfortable. It was surprisingly uncomfortable for her. In many years of being a model, she learned to be comfortable with the attention she's getting. But everything has changed. The days she spent in the darkroom inside of Vincent's mansion had affected her differently.
