Chapter 6 - Another Good Day

[Kylie's pov]

I wake up feeling a cold breeze, I get up and see that I did not close the window last night, did I even lock my front door?

How mature? My first night of adulthood and I can't even check my windows and doors, I roll my eyes.

I go into the bathroom and take a shower and do my business, I come out and decide on my black combat boots, my skinny jeans, a black long sleeve Tee and a black coat, I just love the colour black, if you can't already tell.

I leave my hair down and l lightly put on some lip gloss

I go to the kitchen and grab some cereal, when I'm finished I do the dishes, and grab my keys and leave, I check all the windows and lock the door. Ha I can do adulthood!

The path from my house to town takes me about 10 minutes on foot. When I get to town the people are already alive and starting their day, its 8am on a Sunday, I mean damn these people are early worms.

I smell delicious freshly made doughnuts I follow the delicious smell to a beautiful little shop called 'The bakery Cafe' ha how obvious.

I go inside and it just smells delicious, I hear my stomach grumble almost like I never just fed it!

I go to the counter and a beautiful young girl, around about my age greets with a "Good morning love, and how can I help a pretty young lady such as yourself?"

I instantly smile at her bright and friendly personality she just screams fun, I immediately know we going to be good friends. My first GIRL friend! I mentally scream.

"A good morning to you lovely person! I would like your best coffee, with two of those doughnuts" I point to the chocolate ring doughnuts behind the counter.

She giggles and stretches her hand out, " You new here, I'm Maleeyah, its so great to see a new face around here, we dont get too many visitors. Your order coming right up" she beams with her bubbly personality.

I take her hand and shake it "Im Kylie, its nice to meet you, yes very new just moved in yesterday morning, thanks I'll take a seat" I tell her smiling brightly.

I go to sit in one of the chairs, not long after she comes, gives my coffee and doughnuts, I can't help but close my eyes and relish in the delicous smell when I open my eyes I'm met with those dark blue eyes which belongs to Maleeyah who's smiling brightly at me.

Those eyes! They look so familiar, brushing off the thought.

"Hey kylie, mind if I be your tour guide, I'm just so excited to have found a new friend!" she says excitedly, I giggle.

"Sure thing Maleeyah, I'd love that. But shouldn't you be tending to your customers?" I ask curiously. She laughs at this. I look at her with a questioning look.

"Oh kylie, it gets bored here all day, everyone only starts craving for my sweet things after lunch but Mr and Mrs Anderson are my only early morning customers, which will be walking in any minute" she says and turns her head towards the door.

Not a second later a elderly couple walks in holding hands, looking at each other as if its their first date, awww so cute! I want that kinda love, definitely!

I laugh at this, she scrambles back to the counter, giving me a 'I told you so look'. "Good morning you two love birds, the usual?" she asks as they beam at her nodding.

Ohh I'm loving this place! She hands them a packet with two coffees and they pay. They walk pass, smiling at me I politely smile back, they wave at Maleeyah as they head out she waves back screaming" Have a good day you lovely peaple! "

She grabs her things and pulls me out of the shop, I throw my dirt away still drinking my warm coffee.

We walk around aimlessly, Maleeyah just showing me the stores to find the different things.

We get to know each other well, turns out she has a older brother, and also had 5 guy friends growing up, she mentions them sadly but before I can ask about it she changes the subject.

She is also 18 like I assumed and is big on family. She says I'll meet her family one day she just first gotta give them a heads up before I go and meet them she doesn't want them to embarrass her, at this I laugh.

Also that they live far out in the forest and that they a big family and the walking distance would just be overbearing after todays exploring.

We look at the time, it's noon already and she has to be getting back to the shop for her other customers. I walk her back to the bakery. I get there and take a seat to rest my feet abit before

I head home. As I sit down my phone rings.

Its a video call from Mama, I answer it and immediately mama, papa and the boys faces appears on the screen, they all scream hello and I cant help but smile. I miss these guys

"Hey kylie, how's everything? We miss you" says mama

"Hi everyone, I miss you guys too so much! Everytyings great, I actually m-" I stop myself from loudly screaming in front of the bakery's customers that I met a wolf, not knowing how they'd react to wolves running around nearby town.

Also remembering my family might just drive out here to kill me if I mentioned befriending a wolf. "Uhh I met a beautiful girl Maleeyah" I say instead.

"She's so nice, she works at a bakery owned by her family, where I met her at this morning getting a second breakfast, she was so kind and showed me around, she's good people." I say smiling, looking her way sending her a wink seeing as she is already looking at me with a sad smile, hmm I have to ask her about that.

When I look back at the screen, the boys are all looking at each other, with a sad smile too! How weird, before I can ask about it, "We all going to visit in three weeks time, we cleared all our schedules and since it'll be on a weekend you wont be at school" Jody says excitedly.

"Oh my god! I cant wait!" I scream excitedly, looking up at everyone looking at me screaming at my phone. My bad, I give them a shy smile and I can feel my cheeks blushing.

Mama, papa and the boys all laugh. One by one the boys all say they miss me and cant wait to see me. Saying goodbyes not forgetting the 'I love you's' and 'be safe's', I end the call.

I go to greet Maleeyah and she engulfs me in a long tight hug, I hug her back tightly not questioning it. I say my goodbyes and head back home.

When I get home, feeling hungry I decide to warm up some microwave lasagna. Hmmm so delicious I finish it. Do the dishes and decide to put on some comfy clothes.

When I'm done, I go to light the fire by the fireplace and connect my USB into the flat screen tv and watch my series.

I go to the room to fetch a comfy blanket and just as I'm about to start the show I hear something outside my front door, I go to investigate and as I open up the door.

"Mr Wolf!" I scream as I move out of the way to let him in.

He goes to sit on my blanket that was on the sofa, I go to the room to fetch another as I sit next to him and start the show.

Its crazy! Im sitting watching Game of thrones, with a wolf sitting next to me seeming very interested in the show himself.

We been watching the series for hours now, and when I look outside, its already dark, I go to warm more lasagna and I put some in another plate for Mr Wolf, thinking he might be hungry.

I go to put the plate next to him and he immediately eats up and i also eat away.

When we finished I clean up and continue our Game of thrones marathon.

The later it gets the more tired I grow. Not long after that I feel my eyes closing, I'm fighting it but in the end I let sleep consume me.
