Jason's POV.

“ Mr. Black, Mr. Black Sir..”

Whatever it was he wanted, that made him run after me that way had better be something important.

“ Mr. Black, I ..”

“ What is it Jim? It's so early in the morning, don't you think the company could use a bit of tranquility? Keep it down, you are being too loud.”

“ I apologize sir. I just wanted to inform you that there's a package waiting for you in your office. A delivery guy brought it and said it was something important.”

I replied with a nod and made my way for the elevator. Jim stood at my side and we headed for the 21st floor. I gazed at my wristwatch briefly to confirm the time. As we stood in the elevator, my mind wandered freely. What's the package about? I have no idea who's bringing a present as early as it was. Grandma would send a text few minutes to the delivery guy arriving and we were not expecting any wrapped box from a business partner, at least not for this week.

I tugged at my tie and let it go when I was concerned it looked more better than before. Straightened my suit and maintained the ‘ oh so cheesy and arrogant’ CEO Black's signature look.

Just a few strides and I was out on the corridor heading for my office. Everyone I came across either exchanged pleasantries or nod and scurry away in fright. It's no fault of theirs, not everyone would be able to stand in presence of his or her ruthless Boss who doesn't cover up for incompetence and isn't even merciful.

Maybe they were frightened only at the mention of my name, but one thing is certain. I actually do look good. It's a fact well known. I can't afford to miss the gazes the ladies in my company throw my way. It's always so kind of me to gently remind them with my confident look that I do know I look too good. And this morning is no exception. Even while dashing away, they always make sure to have a glance at my well carved, perfect body and my face..

Took a left turn with Jim right behind me and I set my briefcase on my desk. He was right, there was a box on my table. Contents still unknown but we wouldn't if we don't tear open the box.

My long fingers set to work quickly while Jim stood at the door. His facial expression just as mine, we were both confused.

“ Did the delivery guy leave already? There are no notes as to who this is from.” it was more of a whisper rather than a question but Jim nodded anyway.

There was nothing inside. Nothing except a piece of paper. It was a DNA test and..

“ Hello daddy!” a young boy of no more than seven who we hadn't noticed all this while jumped out from my desk. Right, we didn't notice anyone was in there cause the kid was obviously hiding under my desk.

Who the hell will let his or child run into my office and play some prank on me? That would be handled accordingly later but for now I was more concerned about the word he had said.

He called me daddy. Not like I was married or had any kids..

“ My name is Liam. My fifth brother and second sister was right. You really do look like us.”

That sentence earned a chortle from the ‘oh so grumpy, arrogant asshole of a CEO who never showed his perfectly set of dentition.’

If I was correct, children were supposed to look like their parents and not the other way. I laughed genuinely but the laughter died down as quickly as it came. In it's stead, was a scowl and raised brows as I examined the boy. He was right. He did look like me, he was like the younger version of me.

“ Who..” I was cut off by him.

“ We have been expecting you for the past six years, daddy. And when it seemed you were not going to come, I and my siblings spent our time searching for clues. That DNA test was done seven years ago..” he spat everything out so quickly and I returned my focus to the piece of paper in my hand.

It said right there that I was his father but how could that be?

“ Liam, Liam..” we heard a voice outside. It belonged to a young girl in her mid- twenties. She surely looked like a delivery guy and she shared a few facial features with Liam..

“ You can't go in, ma'am. This is CEO Black's office.” Jim announced when she tried to run in.

“ And so? I don't give a hoot about him young man. I'm only here for my son. Now, step out of my way you moron!”

I must say she's got such an attitude. She was extremely pissed about Liam being here. Why wouldn't she be? He clearly brought a DNA test result to me.

“ Liam!! What are you doing here mister? Shouldn't you be in school?”

“ Mommy mommy, look, I found daddy.” Liam exclaimed and I saw her face become pale. She was sweating uncontrollably and it became difficult to breathe. Just that single statement from him seeped out life from her.

Trying to compose herself, she muttered as she held Liam in her arms...

“ I'm sorry honey but your dad is dead. He died before you were born, Liam”

“ No, he didn't. He's right here.” I chimed in, scanning the DNA test for the twentieth time. Her face, it looks so familiar.

She swung around to reply me but paused when her gaze fell on me. If she keeps holding her breath, we might have to get an ambulance soon. Colour had already been drained from her cheeks and I stared down at a white, slender lady.

Without taking her eyes off me, she drew Liam to her side and held him tightly.

“ I'm sorry for my son's attitude Sir. He's just a kid and kids could be naughty at times. Please ignore whatever he said.” she apologized quickly and for a second I would have acted like this didn't happen, I would have if I didn't hold a copy of a DNA test result or if I didn't see past the slight glint of fear in her eyes. The kind that says all the kid has said has been nothing but the truth.

She turned to Liam and scolded him. Whatever she thinks she's doing is fine by me, even if she keeps lying to my face but I'm certain of one thing; she isn't leaving here with my son.

My eyes scanned her body and I could have missed that little butterfly at the back of her neck. It's... It's the same as the girl from that night..

“ It's you.” I whispered, a small part of me hoping she would deny it.

Realization dawned on her that she had been caught and there was no need to lie anymore now.

“ It's..” the little choking sounds as she gasped for air..

“ You dared keep my child away from me? For fucking seven years? How could you? What other things are you hiding from me?”

“ If I had told you about him, would you have believed it to be true? Wouldn't you label me a whore?” her hands were on Liam's ears before she said that.

“ That's no excuse to keep my son away from me! I didn't give you the right to..”

My eyes went to the door and for once, I was relieved. Jim had probably left earlier when he figured things were going to get messy and he did me the favour of shutting the door quietly on his way out.

“ Well hello, I don't care what you think is right or not.” she was suddenly bold and held no words back. Just as me, she had noticed Jim was no longer in my office and that gave her a whole room to spit out words.

“ Mommy, Daddy.. can you stop arguing? My siblings would be waiting for our retur..” her hand went around his mouth, stopping him from saying any more words.

But I was quick to catch the main word. Siblings. He wasn't the only one she kept away, she kept God knows how many babies away from me..

“Siblings? Do you have any other babies I should know about?” with eyes narrowed, I stared at her watching her battle with herself on what lie to tell.

“ No. There are no more you should know about. Liam is your son..” her voice was laced with fear. She was hiding something from me but at least she admitted Liam was my son.

“ I have five other siblings daddy!” Liam's voice filled her with terror and she wrapped her hand more tightly.

“ What are you hiding from me?”

Madelyn's POV I shoved Liam behind me and stared directly at the father of my children. I had no idea he was this rich, and until today I had no idea he was the CEO of this company and also the man I had slept with years ago. I had always delivered packages to other departments in the company but none of us knew the other. I was panting for air. It wasn't until then that I realized I had been holding my breath. I was more than petrified. Liam had already risked being know by his father, if Black found about the other children, he would surely take them away from me. Jason's POV The car sped along the express way on the tracks leading to the hospital. City hospital. I haven't been there in such a long time. The family doctor who works at City hospital visited frequently, to check on Grandma and run a few tests at home. We only go there when she insists she doesn't want to be attended to at her house. Weird how she loves the hospital environs. Madelyn had left in a haste. I wonder what's wrong with her. Not like I care but, I have to show a bit of concern towards her now that I know she has a son for me. Liam has a striking resemblance of me when I was little. Staring at the paper between my cold fingers, I read every single thing written down. How was a paternity test done? Did she take my blood or a strand of my hair? “ We are here, Master.” the driver's voice interrupted my line of thoughts and I shoved the piece of paper into my pocket. Throwing my long legs out of the car, I dashed into the hospital and so

Madelyn's POV “ Oh hello Madelyn. Mind telling me whose kids these are? Cause they fucking look like me!” CEO Black was more than furious. What exactly have I gotten myself into? I already had one taken from me, and now Valerie and Daniel. If he knows this two are his kids, he would definitely find about the other three. I didn't think it would be so hard trying to conceal them from him. If only Liam hadn't gone to him in the first place. How the hell did he even get a paternity test done? How did he find his father when even I was in the dark about who he was? So many questions. But now isn't the time to scold my kids and have them spill what they have been hiding. I needed to just come up with another lie. Something he would definitely buy. I looked over the huge raging figure and my eyes collided with a pretty advanced woman. She should definitely be in her eighties but she looked pretty and healthy regardless. Seems she always go about with warm sm

“Look, it's daddy! Daddy, mummy is taking us home. She's mad at us, can you please talk to her?” The whole world stood still. All heads turned, eyes blinked rapidly and hearts stopped beating literally. A lot of whispers, a lot of muffled surprised sounds. The tiny cute creature ran to me and kept tugging at my suit. Under the numerous stares from all, I stooped to her level and patted her hair. She had brown beautiful hair, a charming set of dimples and the sweetest smile that could break ice. “ Mummy is mad? Did you do something wrong?” I looked past Valerie and found her, she was a bit impatient and probably anxious about something. “ Yes, she's annoyed with my brothers and I, daddy..” “ Valerie, we should get going. Your tutor would be home anytime soon. Let's go, young lady.” Madelyn's high pitched voice resonated through the hospital and everyone went about with their normal activities when I cast a few stares. They got the hint and all

Madelyn's POV Xavier had texted earlier that he was on his way after I told him my kids had been involved in an accident. Just a minute after we stepped out of the hospital, his car stopped. My babies were familiar with him already, they knew him as uncle Xavier but chose to refer to him as daddy. And he had never been uncomfortable with it. I met Xavier after I gave birth to my babies. We met at a certain company I had gone to deliver items. My father had cut me off the moment I refused to do his bidding and I was stripped off everything I had and was left with nothing, except a truckload of diamonds which were my children. I still ride pass our house every morning on my way to deliver items, and most times I bump into Mr. Adrian, my father. But he would sneer and look away, while making sure to tell everyone who were around that I used to be his daughter. In no short time, I had become the laughing stock of the city. Xavier's POV. With my attention divided between Madelyn and the road, it was hard to focus on driving. I wanted to know who her kid referred to as daddy. I wanted to know if the man I thought was behind this was actually the one. “ You know it's been approximately two minutes since I asked you a very crucial and important question, Madelyn. Are you going to answer the goddamn question or do I force it out of you?” Hands visibly shaking, face pale in less than a minute, lines of worry scribbled on her once beautiful face and a heart that beats faster. I have never seen her this scared or worried about nothing in the six years I have been with her. “ Madelyn..” I had stopped over. Couldn't risk us having an accident because I was trying to keep my eyes on the road and at the same time, trying to keep them on the young lady who had gone mute the moment Valerie said what she said. “ They.. my kids..” and she went blank

Grandma's POV It was yesterday I found I had a grandson. In fact, I was sure I had grandchildren cause the other two were just like my Jason. I was the mastermind behind the paternity test result. How on earth could a little boy would have had it done without the help of an adult? A week ago, I had just stepped into the elevator when a delivery lady and her son made for the elevator. It was already closing up and she pleaded that I held the elevator for them. “ Damnit! We have to take the stairs Liam, I really need to get this delivered as quickly as possible so I can get y'all to school.” she aired her frustration and ran her hand through her hair, pacing from left to right. The elevator chimed and reopened, and I saw a smile of relief light up her pretty face. For a moment, she had thought she missed it. She smiled at me and expressed gratitude while she and her son hurriedly got in. Fortunately, we were headed to the same floor. The littl

Madelyn's POV. It was yesterday. It was yesterday my kids found out about their father and I found out he was the man I shamelessly offered my body to few years back. Since my kids became able to communicate clearly, they had always asked where their father was or he was. I'm ashamed to say I had fed them lies for years now. I did it for their own good though, how would they feel after finding out I had them because of a one night affair with a total stranger? The first two years they asked about their dad, I showed them a photograph of someone. It was a photo of my younger brother. I hung photos of him everywhere in their room and they believed me. They believed their dad was a pilot and he had been away since mom's seventh month of pregnancy and hasn't returned home since then. They would brag about it to their peers and it only made my heart ache when I saw how genuinely happy and proud they were of a person I didn't even know. Soon, more questions start

Madelyn Cara had called me on her way to Nicholas's house. After what Jason had said yesterday, I came to the conclusion that something was wrong. Maybe he had found out who it was that Cara always met with, or perhaps he was going to change the plan. “ I'm sorry. Jason found out on his own, I never told him. He's right beside me, you can ask him yourself.” Cara bellowed, “ I believe you. I and Jason are not best of friends yet, I don't want to to talk to him. Anyways, I will keep you updated on whatever happens at Nicholas's house.” I had a bad feeling, but I couldn't just say it out. I wanted to ask her to come right to us. Why not end this game and seek protection from Jason? I'm sure my husband would do anything I ask of him, even if it included taking my sister in. “ Be safe, Cara. I don't feel good about this.” She tried to lighten my mood. “ Have you eaten? You will feel much better when you eat, Madelyn.” “ You will be pregnant someda

JASON I hurried home and waited for Madelyn. I noticed she had been going out more and her movements were usually discreet. Whenever I asked where she was off to, she would smile and say she only needed to check out some restaurant in town. At first, it was understandable since she was always craving food. But today, I noticed how weirdly she dressed. It's like she was trying to disguise. Over the week she became a very huge fan of scarfs and sunshades and over sized clothing. I knew something wasn't right, so I decided to follow her today and find out where it was she always went, or who she always visited. I have never thought my wife would ever cheat on me, but that was the first thought that came to mind. She didn't have any friends in the city, so who was it that she always visited? I followed the cab she was in. She would never know it was me cause I went on bike, and I had my helmet on. Madelyn stopped at a restaurant just as she had told me,

CARA A day to the big Day. I was running around making last minute preparations. I have to meet with Madelyn today to inform her of all our plans. Or better still, I could call her. Nicholas asked that we all meet at our usual spot. Natasha called to let us know she would be late, her mom had fallen ill. All Nicholas could ever think of was how we should make this work and not about some sick person. “ Listen to me, I don't care if your mom is dying. I want you here on time, we can't have you mess up our big Day. Is this what would happen tomorrow? What? You call and inform us that your mom had a heart attack? See you by 12pm, Natasha.” That was harsh but it would be better to see this two turn against each other. They were the ones calling the shots in this game, and I needed a sort of division between them. “ Do you think she's trying to bail at the last minute? It might be that she doesn't want to go ahead with this, that's why she keeps bringing

We were just three weeks gone, and I have never been more at loss for the perfect words to describe this whole new feeling. Was this what men went through at the hands of their pregnant wives? Wasn't it a bit too early for her to start having weird cravings? Madelyn never spared me at all. She would wake me up at past 2am and ask me to go get her some sea food.
