Chapter 3

Alice's Point Of View.

"I just want to remind you, Alice. That I don't want this marriage," Valerian said in a cold tone before we entered his mansion. "And I'll make sure you will regret marrying me," he added.

"Are you scaring me?" I seriously asked him.

We just arrived here in England and it looks like I was right that he was just faking himself in front of Mom and Dad. Because when we left our mansion until we got here to his mansion, he repeated several times that he didn't want to marry me.

I don't even want to marry him too!

His sharp cold eyes landed on mine. "Watch your words, Woman. You don't know how dangerous I am," he uttered and quickly entered the mansion.

My lips parted because of what I heard and I couldn't speak. What is he talking about? Is this the real Valerian? Since we left our mansion, I have never seen a smile on his face like what he's doing in our first meeting.

What kind of man did I marry?

I just ignored him and focused my attention on his big mansion, I can't hide the fact that the mansion is nice-looking. From just outside the gate I can see how big the mansion is, it's white in color which is perfect because there are many trees surrounding it.

When I got inside, I noticed that there weren't many things around, but the kitchen and the living room were fully equipped.

"This is your room, you won't come out if I don't say so," he said in a baritone and before I could speak he closed the door.

"Hey, open this damn door!" I shouted loudly while knocking on the door, I felt annoyed. What did he think of me?! A prisoner?!

And when he didn't seem to have any intention of opening the door, I just gave up and looked at what he said was my room from now on. It's bigger than my room in Dad's mansion, it has a king size bed, a big cabinet and a sofa. There is also a bathroom. Even though I was tired from the flight, I didn't do anything but organize my things first, after I finished I went to sleep. I slept for a few hours and when I woke up I felt very hungry.

I tried to open my bedroom door but it was still locked. I looked at the big window and smiled, I felt deja vu as I walked closer to the window, I opened it and looked down, I scanned the area and I saw a big tree that I could use to get out of this damn room.

I took a deep breath before taking my long dress from the cabinet and tearing it down to be as long as a rope. I pushed the big cabinet closer to the window and tied my dress there, I made sure my tie was strong enough for me to use because I might die if I fell out of the window again.

I prayed silently and raised my right foot to the window, I tightened the clasp on my dress while going down from the window. When I got close to the big tree, I held on to its branch and jumped to get down.

"Success," I said with a smile because I was already down and it looked like I was in the garden of Valerian's mansion.

Valerian's Point Of View.

"I can't believe you're going to let his daughter live here," Frank said while holding a cigarette in his hand.

"Of course, her Dad can't come to this country to save her from my hands," I murmured with a smirked and sighed heavily before drinking my wine again. "Anyway, what's the update on what I'm asking you to do?"

Frank leaned back on the sofa and answered. "The transaction with the Knight Mafia went well, they gave the weapons properly and there was nothing missing," he said. "I thought there would be a trouble but it seems they are keeping their word, Sir."

"That's good," I commented. "If they just try to betray us, I'm sure I will be the reason for their deaths."

Frank was about to speak but we both looked at each other when we felt someone's presence. I quickly took my gun out of my pocket and together Frank and I turned our backs and pointed our guns at a familiar person.

"Alice? What the fuck are you doing here?" I shouted angrily and lowered my gun.

"What the hell!" she shouted and her eyes widened in shock as she looked at us. I signaled Frank to put down his gun and he quickly followed me.

"Answer me, Woman!" I shouted loudly while frowning at her.

"You almost killed me! Won't you even apologize to me?! Also why do you have guns?!" she shouted and frowned. I quickly took my gun and pointed it at her head causing her to remain silent.

"Fucking shut your mouth or do you want to die now?" I scoffed and gave her a death glare. "And don't act like this is the first time you saw a gun."

"This is actually the first time I saw a gun," she answered causing me to glare at her even more. Why didn't she just admit that she was one of the people who tortured Vera?

Is this her way to protect her worthless father?

"Just one more question, if you don't answer I'll shoot you so hard until you die," I murmured seriously and I still couldn't read her face. I can't even see fear in her eyes right now. "What are you doing here? And how did you get out of your room?"

She's a daughter of a mafia boss, of course she can manage to escape even though it's impossible.

"I used your window in my room to get out because I was hungry," she answered with no emotion in her face that makes me want to shoot her more. "I'm not a prisoner, do you know that?"

"You're really trying to test my patience, Woman. You have no right to leave the room without me saying anything," I murmured. "My mansion, my rule. And you have to fucking follow it. If you repeat what you did, I will ensure your death," I added angrily and let go of my gun.

"I only have one rule, Woman. Don't fucking disobey me."

Alice's Point Of View.

I didn't do anything but go back to my room because he said a maid would bring me food. But I seem to have lost my appetite because of what happened and especially because of what I heard.

I felt regret that I even left my room because I was extremely scared now. It seems that I already have an idea of what kind of person Valerian is.

I didn't mean to overhear their conversation, but is he a mafia boss?
