The cold, damp air clung to Kris's skin like a shroud, chilling him to the bone. The holding cell's dim lighting cast eerie shadows on the gray concrete walls, making it feel like a tomb. The metallic scent of rust and decay hung heavy, overpowering the faint smell of disinfectant.
