Reid's gaze swept across the captives, his voice dripping with malice. "Bring Denzel to me," he commanded. The guards dragged Denzel forward, until he stood inches from Reid.

"Hold the others in place," Reid continued, "and press a knife to each of their necks." The guards complied, pinning Ezrianna, Kris, Valtor, Kate, Cordelia, and Ronald to the ground, knives glinting against their skin. Claudine stood frozen, her eyes locked on Denzel, her heart racing with fear. Reid's hand closed around the hilt of a knife, pressing its blade against Denzel's neck.

"You see, Claudine," Reid whispered, his breath caressing Denzel's ear, "your loved ones' lives hang in the balance. Defy me, and they die. Cooperate, and… perhaps some will live." The captives' desperate gazes met Claudine's, their pleas for mercy unspoken.

Reid's eyes gleamed with sadistic pleasure as he leaned back, a calculating glint in his gaze. "I want to play a game," he declared, his voice dripping with malice. "An interest
