Lavender's Point Of View:

I heard whispers coming from outside the door and I could tell Charlie was speaking with someone.

I didn't plan on checking who it was but when he was taking a long time to return, and his whispers began to turn into yells, curiosity got the better of me and I was prompted to check on what was going on.

I opened the door slowly and went through the passage, following the voices.

I got to a door where the sound seemed to come from, and pushed it open without second thoughts, stepping in slowly only to find Charlie in front of a blonde lady.

My eyes traveled to Charlie but immediately returned to the lady after I realized who she was.

Michelle!

Well, well, well. If it isn't my best friend who betrayed me. If it isn't the devil herself. If It isn't the bitch who gave me sleepless nights.

Her eyebrows raised as our eyes met briefly. She snapped her neck back to Charlie as if she couldn't care less.

“Here it is." She said, placing an envelope on the bed.

Charlie refused to say a word to her. He only walked towards me. I stepped back slowly, forcing a smile and raising my hand to keep distance between us.

“I'm sorry for interrupting you, speak with her. I'm sorry." I apologized.

He smiled before turning back to Michelle.

"How is that possible?!" He raised his voice.

Look at him go, completely ignoring my presence if not my existence.

“You heard me, babe. I'm pregnant. Six freaking years of relationship and you finally let go of those bitches and stuck with me and you're yelling at me for a pregnancy I always hoped for?” She stated, earning a scoff from him.

"You're nuts. Get out!" He shouted, throwing his arms in the air.

“Who said I was planning to leave. I came over for you, Daddy.” She mouthed in a high pitched tone. I felt irritation punch me in the face.

My breath got caught up in my throat as I still couldn't believe my ears.

Wasn't this the same sharp witted Charlie a few minutes ago who told me he's been watching over me!

Here he was, being vulnerable before Michelle. Is there a sort of spell casted on him or what?!

I turned to leave, slamming the door loudly as I navigated my way to the stairs, descending as fast as my legs could.

My hand pressed on the living room's door knob, twisting it quickly.

“Lavender!" I heard Charlie's voice from up the stairs but who gives a shit anyway?!

I slammed the door before he could get my name on his filthy lips again.

Even after years, I chose to not move on but he's here, impregnating my best friend huh? I was really dumb, but I couldn't blame myself, I couldn't move on. I loved Charlie dearly!

I moved towards the road, resisting the chilly breeze. I quickly stopped a taxi and asked the driver to take me to a hotel.

We arrived at a small hotel and I managed to make it in without bursting into tears. I made sure to keep my head low as I went into the hotel, only to realize it wasn't a hotel but a crazy bar!

Shit!

I said a hotel not a bar!

Well, either of them would do. I got myself a table and ordered a bottle of their hottest alcohol to at least burn down my anger and jealousy.

I sank my ass there even when everyone was gone, my head panging at every shot I drowned in my throat.

I could barely see, or even feel my face anymore. I was high, I could tell. Everything before my sight was all messed up, like my life lately.

How could Charlie do this to me?! At least if he showed some respect for me before her, I wouldn't be jealous.

He did it the other way round, leaving me by the corridor to show how valuable she is to him, getting into a stupid conversation with her as if I didn't exist

That wasn't fair, I had him first! I liked him first! I fell first! He fell harder, or should I say he caught me from falling!

Each time I remembered how Michelle used to be happy for me when Charlie and I became friends, my heart sank.

Charlie's encounter with me was more than fate. It all started from a new hot guy in school who turned out to be a bully!

He hated me, of all the girls in the school, and bullied me because he loved being dominant while I was adamant, refusing to let him control me, but other girls were controlled by his looks alone.

We hated each other but not until his fellow bullies played a stupid trick on me that almost had me falling down the stairs of our highschool.

I could have lost an arm, but the ‘bully’ came to save me swiftly.

I fell first, he caught me, instead of falling harder. Ha....the alcohol was starting to take over but Charlie didn't get off my mind.

Since he caught me, I saw his bright side and we began to get along so well. Only if I had known he used to screw every single girl at school.

Charlie's sudden change was magical and I never knew a bully could be a great boyfriend. I also didn't know a bully could be such a bad ex.

Only if I had the choice to change the past, I would have chosen to fall down the stairs than to fall into his arms. Losing an arm would be at least better than losing my heart.

“Ma'am, you need to leave now." A bartender's voice interrupted my reverie.

I groaned before managing to stagger out of the bar.

A taxi soon stopped before me after I hailed. I dragged myself into the car and asked him to take me to the nearest hotel.

“Sure. We will." I heard from the front seats. I immediately sobered up and my vision cleared immediately with shock etched in my face.

Jayden? Hayden?!

“Wh-what are you..?” I stuttered, the alcohol taking control again.

"Surprise!! Happy to see us?" Jayden asked with a grin on his lips.

My heart raced.
