Lavender's Point Of View:

Charlie squatted to take off my shoes for me. I immediately bent, gently taking his hands away from me.

“Don't take them off, I'm leaving soon." I whispered.

He let out a small laugh in a whisper before rising up, his enigmatic eyes lighting up in the dimly lit room. “Oh. No, you don't have to actually. You obviously have nowhere to go.” He reminded me.

Right! I had nowhere to go since I didn't want to stay with mum. But I would rather sleep in a hotel than stay here at Charlie's house.

I didn't want our past history repeating itself again.

I immediately shook my head vigorously, “N-no. I'll stay at a hotel. You shouldn't bother anyway." I said, forcing a smile as I looked back, reaching for my phone.

“You don't…. have to…. I promise nothing will happen to you. I know you're bothered about our past but I feel like we should leave the past in the past and move on. I'm only trying to help you, Lavender.”.

I forced a smile, humming as I nodded. “mhmmn. This isn't about something happening to me. I know you're over me but I'm no…. I- nevermind. I can't stay here, it reminds me of everything and-”.

He cut me off, letting out a sigh. "We can forget about everything that happened between us. That was several years ago back in highschool. Several. Years. Ago.”.

He could forget because he wasn't the hurt one. Only if he knew how much he hurt me that I still haven't got myself a boyfriend after him because of the love I have for him.

I saw a future with him but he was blinded and never saw it, he was just an oblivious bad boy with hot looks and I ignored that every lady drooled on him, only to regret it.

Moral lesson; never fall for a guy with hot looks.

“I'm sorry, I can't forget, Charlie." I replied, averting his turquoises as I got up, shoving my phone into my pocket.

“I'm not worried about the past. I'm worried about you. You can't leave tonight. It's late” He said, standing to block my path.

He looked me in the eyes while I looked away, fiddling with the rumpled edge of my shirt nervously.

I swallowed before looking into his eyes, “Oh. You cheated on me, and you stand before me to say you're not worried about all that? Very demure of you.".

Where did those words come from for fuck's fucking sake?! Why would I say such?!

Did I just confront my own ex who I had broken up with for over six years now! I bet I looked nothing less than an obsessed psychopath.

“I'm sorry, but that's in the past. We've moved on with our lives, you have, right?" He asked, his words slicing through my fragile heart once more.

I felt hot tears sting my eyes. I clutched the edge of my blouse tightly in my grasp as I swallowed hard again, letting out a sigh.

I managed to push back my tears.

"You should be more worried about yourself now than what happened years ago." He added, furrowing his bows playfully again so I wouldn't read his emotions.

“Just a reminder! You cheated on me with my best friend, on prom night! Which was my birthday!!” I tried not to raise my voice but I failed.

"It wa-”.

I cut him off, shaking my head as I pushed a smile on my face, "You don't have to, Charlie. You already don't care. Besides, that wasn't your first time, was it?” I asked, my voice breaking.

Oh. I didn't know if I was out of my senses! Why was I initiating the conversation I avoided like a plague years ago.

"It was." He replied firmly, looking into my eyes.

I let out a scoff, “I meant with other girls, not with Michelle.".

The cat got his tongue.

"I was so stupid to have ignored the warnings from other girls. Well, I was stupid again to think I was special when you didn't even share up to fifteen kisses with me, yet you fucked other girls like......”.

Why on Earth was I even complaining after six freaking years?! Oh, Lavender, fuck you!

“You were special, a rare gem, they were bitches! I didn't want to hurt you!" He said, grabbing my arm roughly. I couldn't bring myself to jerk off my arm from his hot grasp.

His Adam's apple bounced as he swallowed while looking into my eyes. He let go of my arm slowly, the tip of his fingers gliding against my hot skin.

“So you sought pleasure from other girls. Yet you call me a rare gem? You fucked bitches then you're also a bit.....” I let out a sigh, ignoring my previous sentence. “Forget it, it's not worth it. After all, you don't give two fucks. Oh wait, how would you give two fucks about me when we barely kissed, let alone fuck!”.

"Laven-”,

I chipped in, "Why did you come to save me, Superman?” I asked. "Just how long have you been watching?”.

“I've been watching after you since forever." He said. I slowly anticipated that killer smirk to appear on his face.

“Mhmm..... what are you? A scarecrow? It's not like you love me. Why then?" I asked, sitting back on the bed.

“You've been revolving around danger and I was lurking for the perfect time to save you.” He mumbled.

"Thanks, Superman. As if.”I scoffed, rolling my eyes.

He finally gave me that killer smirk I was waiting for.

I couldn't help but look away or I would melt at the way those perfect lips curled up to expose his lovely dimples.

He was one magnificent work of art. His chiseled chin, his gaze. His straight black hair which was held up with a rubber band, with multiple strands falling. His piercings. His lips. His eyes.

There I go, drooling over him again!

“Go to bed now.” He ordered, grinning to reveal yet another work of art– his teeth gems.

I sighed, squeezing my eyes shut. I needed a break from staring at his perfect face.

"I'm leaving, Charlie. I can't do this and please, stop lurking around me anymore. I'll be better off on my own.” I said, rising again. I couldn't just stay.

I knew we would either fuck before sunrise or argue all night. To save my dignity, I wasn't going to allow myself to do any of those with my ex.

“Your eyes are saying otherwise." He taunted.

"I can't stay. See you around, or preferably never.”.

My voice was followed by a loud crash coming from outside the room as if someone broke in and accidentally broke a whole shelf.

The crash settled before heavy but steady footsteps approached. With each footstep I heard, my heard jumped.

I stared at Charlie's face, awaiting his reaction but he only kept furrowing his eyebrows, probably to hide his fear.

“Stay here, Lavender. I'll handle this." Charlie spoke, turning to leave the room.
