This time when I stepped out of the car, I wasn’t as confident as I had been the first time.

Draco was armed with the information he needed, at least some of it. I no longer had the element of surprise.

He had reserved a very public place for us to meet, which had both pros and cons to it. But for me, it was now mostly cons. I couldn’t make an escape as easily and neither would I be able to be as comfortable sharing our history in the middle of hundreds of strangers.

The view of the Hudson River in front of us was stunning, the water glimmering as the rays of the afternoon sun shore from the sky. However, it wasn’t the view that caught my attention…it was the man in the black blue suit and the red shirt underneath.

His hair was swept in every direction by the wind, just as it tousled through mine, and it was as if he could sense me somehow…because he turned around to look at me as soon as I walked into his vicinity.
