CHAPTER THIRTY SEVEN: AT THE BAKERY.

AT THE BAKERY.

Ares.

“You really do like asking this question whenever I give you food, don't you?” She answered my question with a question of her own.

“Well yes, because I can't seem to understand why you would prepare something for me to eat, it still puzzles me”. I replied sincerely.

“You haven't answered my question”. I told her when I noticed she had zoned out.

“Ohh, it's because you're my husband and like I told you before, if I don't feed you, who else will?” She answered me.

I felt something stir in me immediately she made that statement. But I quickly composed myself.

She opened the tray and told me to eat, I sat up on the bed and began eating. I was surprised at the way I obeyed her.

“You're going to stand there and watch me eat?” I asked her, with my head cocked to the side when I looked up from the food and found her still staring at me.

“I don't mind”. She replied. I knew she didn't want me to send her out of my room again like I did yesterday.
