"Alpha Bond, know your territory and respect yourself!" Steel roared. Alpha Bonds' bodyguards were already moved to get Godiva up the stairs. She did not attempt to escape, being rooted in shock and fear, her eyes were wide open, her feet frozen.
"Enough!" Rocks' roar got them trembling, the bodyguards froze. He turned to Godiva. "To your room," he ordered. Godiva instantly defrosted at the sound of Rocks' voice. It wasn't the first time he saved her therefore, it was easy for her to trust him. She run to the room, locking the doors like a child haunted by her childhood nightmare. Alpha Bond was ruthless. He had no epitome of pity. His eyes emitted fire and he seemed rough.
Rock might speak a few words but he was more desirable. The sides of Alpha Bonds' hair were shaven and he held the middle part in a ponytail. His bodyguards were as tall as Rock and without warmth. Rock returned his attention to Bond.
"Out of my pack." He sounded casual like he was speaking t
Godiva could feel the hot effect of her question on him. Perhaps the timing was wrong but she wanted to know. The Mark was supposed to protect her and she was ready to reject her mate if it wasn't Rock, even though she was certain that they were incompatible.Perhaps a good way to make him warm up to her would be to bombard him with so many questions. Well, Rock wasn't ready to give any answers. Matters concerning the mark reminded him of his foolish youth. "I have to go," he began walking to the door but Godiva was upset. This was exactly what she hated about him. Trashing everything she deemed important as if it was nothing. She couldn't take it.She blocked the entrance with her small frame. "You have to tell me something, Rock." She was courageous, bottling everything inside that wanted to explode but she couldn't allow herself to break down in front of him. She couldn't let him know that she missed her sisters and thought of their well-being. She couldn't let him
For the next one week, Rock continued having his cold showers and Godiva was adjusting to her new life. It was difficult and yet, she couldn't complain anymore. Acceptance was a vicious language she had to embrace. She had to accept her fate to survive. However, having been cut off from her sisters and knowing they were well worried about her, she taunted Rock with her frustrations, making him avoid her at most times. Rock usually left very early after preparing breakfast when she was still asleep and returned late at night when she had retired to bed. Godiva didn't have to be told that it was because of her.It didn't take long for her to find a solution to his ways. Today, she slept a lot during the day and at night, she waited patiently for him, pretending to be sleeping when the door opened. Rock tip-toed through the darkness to have his bath when his phone rang. He retrieved it quickly from his pocket, pressing the answer button to not wake Godiva since he thought
Rock's appearance was unexpected, his movement swift, comparatively to the wind. Just a glare was enough to cut short anyones' life. It was unlike him to be in a place like this, the environs irritating his demons. He hated the loud music and being around so many strangers, not knowing whom to trust. He didn't hide his disappointment when his gaze caught Steel. How could he allow Godiva to dress as if she was for sale, bringing her to a place like this? He was to protect and not expose her. How could Godiva accept such a sexy dress and follow Steel to a place like this? Being quiet, he hardly socialized and found it time-wasting. What Godiva and Steel didn't know was that ever since that attack at the packhouse, Rock had assigned the bodyguards to report all her movements in his absence. As soon as Steel drove out, it wasn't only the enemy's car that followed them but also one of the bodyguards, reporting their movements. When Rock was informed that they were i
Godiva couldn't fake bravery anymore. She "Rock, what are you doing?" Her voice shivered with each word while she tried to get away. An unexpected smirk appeared in the corner of Rocks' lips, upon seeing her nervous. She walked backwards to the door but had nowhere else to go, clinging desperately to the door handle. The locked door was behind her, with Rock in front of her. Subconsciously, she closed her eyes, waiting for a painful hit of the belt which never came. She could feel him close up on her, so close his breath refreshed her face. She felt the coldness of the scissors around her exposed arm with gentle waves. Swallowing a lump in her throat, she instantly flipped her eyes open, flung with diverse emotions, not knowing Rocks' intent at the moment. "Please Rock, don't do this. I promise to be good.""Shhhhhhhhhh, don't talk." When Rock spoke, she didn't feel any coldness in his voice. Rather it was filled with desire, striking different codes in her mien.
Alpha Caesar's breathing at the end of the line confirmed that he was still there. Rock waited patiently for his final decision. "You win," he announced in sworn defeat. "Good," Rock casually responded and hang up, he wired enough funds to cover for Godiva's purchase. Alpha Caesar courteously sent a text to confirm receipt of the funds. Afterwards, Rock called Alpha Alonso and was quite surprised by the response he got. "No need to argue with you, Alpha Rock. I've been informed by Alpha Caesar. Go ahead with the transfer without interest." Alpha Alonso knew he was at fault and didn't want any fight. How could they have spiked the drink of the Beta of the Blue Rock pack? It was better to choose peace in a time like this. Rock hummed, ending the call. He instantly wired his share of the money as well. Three Alphas gone, three more to handle. Rock had no intention to approach them. He would only make his intentions known when they meet. The three remaining Alphas were the most difficul
Godiva had five more days to turn eighteen but wasn't as excited as accompanying Rock as his secretary for one day. To remind her of her duty, she dressed for the occasion but perhaps too tempting. She had no idea what her outfit was doing to the man beside her.Rock didn't seem so cold today but for his mate not bearing his mark was weighing heavily on him. He wanted her to carry his scent everywhere for everyone to know she was his. Five days seemed to him like five years. He did not exhibit so much patience but it seemed obvious since he met Godiva that he had changed. His level of self-control and maturity had brought him this far. But the sins of the past still lingered in the darkest part of his mind.He didn't have much to do in the office today, only going to sign some very important documents to give authorization. He had reliable people as managers and directors, some of which were humans. He planned on spending a few hours in the office, then taking Godiva t
Steel was standing at the entrance, his back against the door when Godiva descended the stairs, struggling with her luggage. She seemed to need help with her stylish travelling bag but no help located her at the moment. From Steel's posture, Godiva discerned that he was going to prevent her from leaving. "You will not stop me," she yelled from up the stairs but Steel just peered at her with a confusing glare, unmoved. Seeing him so relaxed, she was conflicted. "I'm not going to stop you but I just need you to think about your own safety," he retorted, still blocking the doorway. He sounded indifferent but the warmth in his eyes spoke millions. Godiva exploded in anger. How could they speak about her safety when they lied to her? They made her live in a fool's paradise. "No, you want me to think that you care but you don't." Steel felt offended, thinking Godiva was ungrateful. Ever since Rock brought her, everything about them was centred around her and their whole lives changed dr
Rock squinted his eyes in disgust. It was true that when he was young, he was so infatuated with Amanda because she was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. He knew she wasn't his mate but never thought there could be any woman more beautiful than her. Not only him but the other Alphas, including Alpha Jax, also had a striking liking for Amanda. Alphas were always obsessed with proving who was better than the other, to the extent of flaunting their mates. This resulted in a challenge between Alpha Jax and Rock. They tried to prove who deserved Amanda. With both Alphas being egocentric, Rock crushed Jaxs' ego by marking Amanda. She was just fifteen by then, waiting in the hope to complete the mating process when she turned eighteen. After all, Alpha Rock was the hottest and most ruthless, even when his father was the then Alpha. Yet it was no secret that he was going to succeed his father. However, Jax turned bitter towards Rock and Amanda. At first, it was an amazing feeling,
Godiva wanted to run when she bumped into Rock. "What are you doing here?" He asked her. "I...I saw a white wolf." Rock was curious to know what the moon goddess told her after all that she had been through, only hoping that it wouldn’t be another warning. "What did it say?" Rock asked, careful to not use a pronoun for her to be suspicious. Godiva realized that her burdens had been lifted and no matter how she tried, she couldn’t feel sad anymore."One chance, double reward." "What does it mean?" Rock was clueless this time. Godiva was dismayed, thinking Rock could break down the puzzle, which didn’t seem so."I should be asking you." "I don't know," Rock said honestly. Seeing that she was doubtful, he added,"Let's go inside." When they got to the room, Godiva began to feel strange, a heated desire overtaking her. "Are you alright?" Rock was surprised that she wasn’t moody anymore and asked her. "Yes," Godiva smiled, biting her lower lip, as she stared at him seductively.Rock f
"She keeps her wolf," Rock countered but Godiva thought differently and pulled him to the side, after Rocks' judgement sparked murmurs among the pack members. "Rock, it's the right thing to do." "You'll be completely human,” Rock explained the best he could. It wasn’t easy for him to live without his wolf so how could he let Godiva to reject hers?"It doesn't matter. You have your wolf back and will always protect me,” Godiva’s words moved Rock, assuring him of her trust in his abilities but there was just something else she didn’t know and Rock knew it might just break her if he told her."No," he disagreed. Godiva understood the importance of her wolf but was certain that since she had her mate, she could survive without her wolf. "I love you Rock, and I love my pack too. I can't allow you to be a tyrant to your members because of me. All this wouldn't have happened if I hadn't run out of the pack and been kidnapped by Jax." "It wasn't your fault,” Rock assured her, his deep dark
Pack doctors in the Blue Moon Pack were specially gifted healers. If they were helpless, then there couldn’t be a way but after checking Rieka’s eyes color and reaching out to her wolf which he had the power to? The doctor was glazed with a confused expression. “You weren’t gifted from birth with any special powers but your endurance to your sufferings gave you special favour in the sight of the moon goddess. She gave you the gift of fire.”“Can she save Godiva?” Steel asked eagerly. The theory seemed unnecessary to him. The doctor paused for a while. “Yes, but..”“But what?” Rock asked seriously. If something would go wrong, then he’d rather prepare to find other means.“She’s already weak from losing so much power,” the doctor pressed Rieka’s wrist and said.“So she can’t save Godiva?” Xena asked with disappointment. Since there was hope before, her perception had changed. The doctor looked at Xena and said,“She can, but she will sleep for a long time.”“How long?” Rock was curiou
Rock halted at Steel's words and faced the chief warrior? Rieka wasn’t a warrior so how did she end up on the battlefield? How could Steel allow it? Godiva’s weight was like paper in his arms, as fury emanated from his eyes. "What did you say?" The chief warrior was afraid of Rock’s sudden coldness. A little earlier, Rock was nothing like his old self and spoke normally. Now, he was the old Alpha again and the chief warrior lacked understanding of the cause of the changes. He said carefully, "we lost fifty-nine warriors including Rieka." After confirming what the chief warrior has said, Rock turned to Steel, his voice gnawing in annoyance and regret,"Why did you allow her…" He paused and Steel realized that Rock's speech impediment had returned just as his wolf but since he wasn't in his right mind, he waited for Rock to complete the question himself. Steel couldn't do so at the moment. "to fight without training?" Steel understood why Rock was angry with him. At the Blue Rock
The Blue Rock pack was in chaos. Thousands of rogues emerged from the woods, and the warriors from Alpha Jax and Bricks’ pack came in at the warriors of the Blue Rock Pack who seemed to be prepared.Steel was slaying ruthlessly in wolf form but when his warriors began to fall without the attacker being seen, he felt that their end was near. Some of his warriors threatened to give up.‘Alpha Rock is attacking his own pack. We have to surrender,’ a mindlink came through from their chief warrior.‘It’s not him, continue to fight,’ Steel countered.‘No one else has an invisible wolf,’ the mindlink came through again. Steel blocked him instantly since he couldn't tell them the truth about what was happening after yelling in a Beta tone, ‘just fight!’The warriors had a mind of their own. They didn’t know what the Alpha and beta were planning but couldn’t die a foolish death. It would be useless to try fighting what could not be seen. They were about to surrender. They almost did when somet
At the pack house, Steel saw Rock and Godiva off before he went to make breakfast while Rieka rested with Xena by her side. When Steel returned, Rieka ate like a hungry lion and didn’t seem like a sick person. Xena was amazed but held it in, afraid to be chastised by Steel for criticizing Rieka. When they were done, Rieka fell into a deep sleep so Xena went to watch TV in the living room. Steel stared keenly at Rieka and asked, “do you want to see a doctor?”“No, I will be fine,” she responded lazily, in a sleep-muffled tone.“I will check a few things in the pack and come back,” Steel said. During the weekend, they rested but he still had to make his rounds to see if everything was okay. As soon as he took a step, a mindlink invaded him,‘Attack, we are under attack. Alpha Jax, Alpha Blaze, rogues and some others.’His eyes turned pitch black with fury. He turned to Rieka and it softened a little but she had seen how furious it was a second ago, “stay here and don't come out.”Rieka
Two Weeks LaterRieka has been homeschooling with Godiva and Xena’s school was on break. Rock and Steel had been training tirelessly but what was happening to Rieka, no one knew. She was afraid of telling anyone that her eyes could turn red and she would feel magic in her hands. Her wolf, Red had assured her that it was her way of making it up to her for deserting her all this while to face the abuse alone. It was a power granted by the moon goddess. However, Rieka was afraid that should anyone get to know about it, she might be cast out of the pack, thereby keeping it secret while Red continued to teach her what she could or could not do with it.It was wonderful traveling to another pack for the coronation of Lunas. Godiva especially was extremely happy because it was her sister Theresa and her mate, Alpha Bricks’ coronation and Theresa was going to be the Luna of the Moon Stone Pack. Best of all, she was going to see all her sisters again. “You look so handsome,” Godiva complimen
“What is the third option?” Steel’s hope returned and he felt guilty for how he judged Rock earlier. Rock went on to explain.“If you mate and mark her tonight, the bond between her and Blaze will automatically be broken.”If that happened, then Blaze would no longer be able to claim her. Steel’s eyes lit with gratitude but,“That will be cheating and he can attack our pack or join our enemies to get revenge.” He was torn between his mate and his responsibility of protecting their pack. Rock had already thought it through. His physical strength wasn’t all he had but also courage. At that, he was fearless.“And we shall be prepared. You can be selfless with anything or anyone but for your mate, you have to be selfish,” Rock patted him on the shoulder and walked up the stairs. He had understood from everything Godiva had narrated that selfishness was inevitable if one had to choose between their mate and pack.Steel’s heart warmed greatly. He could feel Rocks’ love for him, so strong. I
The atmosphere tensed and the silence was deafening. The excited air from Alpha Blaze was a direct contrast to the furious aura released by Steel. Godiva felt uncomfortable as the meaning of the teenager's words sank in. Xena wanted to leave the table to avoid any fight. She witnessed Rock and Steel train before and even that seemed like they were enemies and she thought they were going to kill each other. From the way Steel looked like a storm, things might get deadly. Alpha Blaze stood up proudly, a possessive smile lining the corner of his lips.“You see Alpha Rock, she’s mine.”“No!” Steel roared, “she’s mine,” he countered. Fury laced his tone, as he locked eyes with Alpha Blaze.“She can’t be yours. Didn’t you hear her response?” Alpha Blaze couldn’t discern any problem and said. She realized it and turned to Rieka. She was like a statue at the moment. “You are mine,” Steel said in an obsessed tone. Again, Rieka responded, “Mate.”Alpha Blaze was no longer amused. He must have
