The Blue Rock pack was in chaos. Steel blocked him instantly since he couldn't tell them the truth about what was happening after yelling in a Beta tone, ‘just fight!’The warriors had a mind of their own. Rock halted at Steel's words and faced the chief warrior? Rieka wasn’t a warrior so how did she end up on the battlefield? How could Steel allow it? Godiva’s weight was like paper in his arms, as fury emanated from his eyes. "What did you say?" The chief warrior was afraid of Rock’s sudden coldness. A little earlier, Rock was nothing like his old self and spoke normally. Now, he was the old Alpha again and the chief warrior lacked understanding of the cause of the changes. He said carefully, "we lost fifty-nine warriors including Rieka." After confirming what the chief warrior has said, Rock turned to Steel, his voice gnawing in annoyance and regret,"Why did you allow her…" He paused and Steel realized that Rock's speech impediment had returned just as his wolf but since he wasn't in his right mind, he waited for Rock to complete the question himself. Steel couldn't do so at the moment. "to fight without training?" Steel understood why Rock was angry with him. At the Blue Rock
Pack doctors in the Blue Moon Pack were specially gifted healers. If they were helpless, then there couldn’t be a way but after checking Rieka’s eyes color and reaching out to her wolf which he had the power to? The doctor was glazed with a confused expression. “You weren’t gifted from birth with any special powers but your endurance to your sufferings gave you special favour in the sight of the moon goddess. She gave you the gift of fire.”“Can she save Godiva?” Steel asked eagerly. The theory seemed unnecessary to him. The doctor paused for a while. “Yes, but..”“But what?” Rock asked seriously. If something would go wrong, then he’d rather prepare to find other means.“She’s already weak from losing so much power,” the doctor pressed Rieka’s wrist and said.“So she can’t save Godiva?” Xena asked with disappointment. Since there was hope before, her perception had changed. The doctor looked at Xena and said,“She can, but she will sleep for a long time.”“How long?” Rock was curiou
"She keeps her wolf," Rock countered but Godiva thought differently and pulled him to the side, after Rocks' judgement sparked murmurs among the pack members. "Rock, it's the right thing to do." "You'll be completely human,” Rock explained the best he could. It wasn’t easy for him to live without his wolf so how could he let Godiva to reject hers?"It doesn't matter. You have your wolf back and will always protect me,” Godiva’s words moved Rock, assuring him of her trust in his abilities but there was just something else she didn’t know and Rock knew it might just break her if he told her."No," he disagreed. Godiva understood the importance of her wolf but was certain that since she had her mate, she could survive without her wolf. "I love you Rock, and I love my pack too. I can't allow you to be a tyrant to your members because of me. All this wouldn't have happened if I hadn't run out of the pack and been kidnapped by Jax." "It wasn't your fault,” Rock assured her, his deep dark
Godiva wanted to run when she bumped into Rock. "What are you doing here?" He asked her. "I...I saw a white wolf." Rock was curious to know what the moon goddess told her after all that she had been through, only hoping that it wouldn’t be another warning. "What did it say?" Rock asked, careful to not use a pronoun for her to be suspicious. Godiva realized that her burdens had been lifted and no matter how she tried, she couldn’t feel sad anymore."One chance, double reward." "What does it mean?" Rock was clueless this time. Godiva was dismayed, thinking Rock could break down the puzzle, which didn’t seem so."I should be asking you." "I don't know," Rock said honestly. Seeing that she was doubtful, he added,"Let's go inside." When they got to the room, Godiva began to feel strange, a heated desire overtaking her. "Are you alright?" Rock was surprised that she wasn’t moody anymore and asked her. "Yes," Godiva smiled, biting her lower lip, as she stared at him seductively.Rock f
The cold breeze from the air conditioner raided Godiva's warmth, as the bathroom door crammed open. Her hands laid over her exposed breast while she bent to hide her private part. "What the hell, Theresa," she yelled in fistful rage, seeing her elder sister at the entrance of the bathroom, the warm shower cascading down on her, muffling her words."Papa is dying, get dressed!" There was no amusement in Theresa's voice as she threw a dress at Godiva, who caught it in a reflex, Theresa's statements yet making sense to her. It was a prank. Their father couldn't be dying."Now, Godiva!" Theresa yelled, jolting her from her trance. Quickly, she turned off the faucet, putting on the dress hastily, her hands trembling with every action, without as much drying herself. Her thumping heart posed questions when she strutted down the stairs with her sister. Her breathing stopped, her legs stiff when she saw her father in his favourite recliner, surrounded by her sisters trying hel
"Use the back door," Theresa encouraged Godiva before mobilizing the girls as the doorbell continued to ring relentlessly."I'll get the door," Anita said to Theresa who nodded, trusting Anita's bravery. Being overly pampered, it was good Anita was courageous but it was a distinction to being the youngest. The older sisters shivered with fright when Theresa tried to put them together to explain the situation to them. It was well understood that they were grieved but they had to be strong for Godiva's sake. If they were not able to escape well and early enough, their capture could be used to lure Godiva to present herself to the Alphas. At the back of the house, it was too late for Godiva to realize that the house had been surrounded by strange men dressed in black. Did they all come from the same pack? She assured herself it was impossible but if one Alpha could send so many men to come for her, then she expected the worse and wasn't sure if escape was the best option
"Do as I say if you want to live," a stern female voice muttered in her ears, sending her nervous shivers. The hand on her mouth felt masculine, which meant whoever this female was, must be tough. Catching sight of some of the men in black chasing her earlier, her heart sunk. It was over. She was going to pay her father's debt.Somehow, she was still clinging to the paper shopping bag and the black card given to her by the cashier. Gently, she was shoved by the woman into the back of a jeep wrangler. At the moment, all she thought about was the creeping man. Comparing him to this team, it was rather safer with him but why did he leave? He didn't even take his card and why would he pay for the items she purchased? She wished she had mastered the courage to ask for his name. She was joined by the woman who still held a gun to her head. She looked amazing and ferocious. The car sped out of the parking lot of the boutique but didn't cover much distance when a loud bump was

At the pack house, Steel saw Rock and Godiva off before he went to make breakfast while Rieka rested with Xena by her side. When Steel returned, Rieka ate like a hungry lion and didn’t seem like a sick person. Xena was amazed but held it in, afraid to be chastised by Steel for criticizing Rieka. When they were done, Rieka fell into a deep sleep so Xena went to watch TV in the living room. Steel stared keenly at Rieka and asked, “do you want to see a doctor?”“No, I will be fine,” she responded lazily, in a sleep-muffled tone.“I will check a few things in the pack and come back,” Steel said. During the weekend, they rested but he still had to make his rounds to see if everything was okay. As soon as he took a step, a mindlink invaded him,‘Attack, we are under attack. Alpha Jax, Alpha Blaze, rogues and some others.’His eyes turned pitch black with fury. He turned to Rieka and it softened a little but she had seen how furious it was a second ago, “stay here and don't come out.”Rieka
Two Weeks LaterRieka has been homeschooling with Godiva and Xena’s school was on break. Rock and Steel had been training tirelessly but what was happening to Rieka, no one knew. She was afraid of telling anyone that her eyes could turn red and she would feel magic in her hands. Her wolf, Red had assured her that it was her way of making it up to her for deserting her all this while to face the abuse alone. It was a power granted by the moon goddess. However, Rieka was afraid that should anyone get to know about it, she might be cast out of the pack, thereby keeping it secret while Red continued to teach her what she could or could not do with it.It was wonderful traveling to another pack for the coronation of Lunas. Godiva especially was extremely happy because it was her sister Theresa and her mate, Alpha Bricks’ coronation and Theresa was going to be the Luna of the Moon Stone Pack. Best of all, she was going to see all her sisters again. “You look so handsome,” Godiva complimen
“What is the third option?” Steel’s hope returned and he felt guilty for how he judged Rock earlier. Rock went on to explain.“If you mate and mark her tonight, the bond between her and Blaze will automatically be broken.”If that happened, then Blaze would no longer be able to claim her. Steel’s eyes lit with gratitude but,“That will be cheating and he can attack our pack or join our enemies to get revenge.” He was torn between his mate and his responsibility of protecting their pack. Rock had already thought it through. His physical strength wasn’t all he had but also courage. At that, he was fearless.“And we shall be prepared. You can be selfless with anything or anyone but for your mate, you have to be selfish,” Rock patted him on the shoulder and walked up the stairs. He had understood from everything Godiva had narrated that selfishness was inevitable if one had to choose between their mate and pack.Steel’s heart warmed greatly. He could feel Rocks’ love for him, so strong. I
The atmosphere tensed and the silence was deafening. The excited air from Alpha Blaze was a direct contrast to the furious aura released by Steel. Godiva felt uncomfortable as the meaning of the teenager's words sank in. Xena wanted to leave the table to avoid any fight. She witnessed Rock and Steel train before and even that seemed like they were enemies and she thought they were going to kill each other. From the way Steel looked like a storm, things might get deadly. Alpha Blaze stood up proudly, a possessive smile lining the corner of his lips.“You see Alpha Rock, she’s mine.”“No!” Steel roared, “she’s mine,” he countered. Fury laced his tone, as he locked eyes with Alpha Blaze.“She can’t be yours. Didn’t you hear her response?” Alpha Blaze couldn’t discern any problem and said. She realized it and turned to Rieka. She was like a statue at the moment. “You are mine,” Steel said in an obsessed tone. Again, Rieka responded, “Mate.”Alpha Blaze was no longer amused. He must have
