Chapter forty

"I am here to inform you that...you are no longer my wife but have been reduced to being nothing but a maid in this mansion" he announced with a deadpan look.

Lisa froze for a moment and looked at him hoping he was kidding when he said that but the look on his face said otherwise. His stoic face spelled seriousness when he said those words.

Lisa felt herself tearing up inwardly. How could he reduce her status from being his wife to being an ordinary maid?

"How could you? I'm your wife Alex" Lisa wanted to sound firm and angry but the tears she could feel brewing up made her voice come out shaky instead.
