Chapter five

Her mom glared at her. Her eyes were red with anger. Lisa was visibly shaking on the chair.

Her mom caught her but how? She would have certainly wake up when they were moving her but she didn't. She didn't feel anything till now when they woke her up with cold water.

"What did you think? That you could escape from this? You must be so foolish to think that" her mother remarked while still eyeing her.

" For this, you'll be locked up here till the wedding day. And don't you dare attempt this idea of escaping again" with that, her mom walked out still leaving her tied to the chair.

Lisa was too shocked to say anything. She was still trying to comprehend what Happened. Did Wendy give her out? But why would she do that knowing her predicament?

Lisa heard the clicking of the door from outside indicating that she was locked inside.

"Oh God"

"Come in" Mrs Williams, Lisa's mom said from inside when she heard a knock.

She was combing her hair when Ruth, Wendy's mom walked in with a smile.

"Oh good morning Ruth. Thank you so much for informing me about my daughter being in your home" Mrs Williams said grateful as she dropped the comb.

" No need to thank me. What are friends for" Ruth replied still smiling.

" I don't know what I would have done without you"

it was Wendy's mom who informed Mrs Williams about Lisa being in her home.

She had already injected Lisa so that she wouldn't wake up before she called Mrs Williams. Guards came and carried her back home and had her tied up.

"So, when Will they bring the court marriage papers for her to sign? " Ruth asked curiously.

" Very soon. "Replied Mrs Williams.

Ruth gave a long hum indicating she was in thoughts. After some silence, she finally spoke up.

"What if Lisa refuses to sign the papers?" Ruth reasoned making Mrs Williams stiffen on the spot.

" She wouldn't dare"

" But what if she does? You can't possibly force her in front of them. It would come off suspicious. You shouldn't give Lisa a chance to escape this marriage, "Ruth said and smirked seeing Mrs Williams face.

"Just a little more push" Ruth said inwardly before facing Mrs Williams.

", Remember why your doing this. Lisa is the reason why you have 2kids instead of 3. Don't let her go so easily all because she's your child" she paused seeing the effects her words had on Mrs Williams. "Make her feel the pains you went through when mourning Lia. And remember that it would only happen once she marries him"

Mrs Williams folded her fist while listening to Ruth. She was definitely making sense.

She wanted Lisa to be in a pains too of killing her sister and for also denying she did it.

This was the only way.

Mrs Williams heart hardened even more against Lisa.

"You are absolutely right" Mrs Williams concurred while gritting her teeth.

"Of course I am" Ruth said smiling proudly for being able to convince Lisa's mom.

"But I don't know how to go about this. What do I do?" She asked confusedly.

"That's why am here best friend. I have the perfect plan" Ruth hummed and pulled Mrs Williams closer before whispering to her the plan.

Mrs Williams gave her a smile while Ruth returned. Only that her own was more sinister.

Two hefty men entered the room making Lisa flinch in fear by barely looking at their sizes.

She was gradually falling asleep till she heard the door unlocking. Thank God she was still awake else she wouldn't have known what these men were going to do her.

The men were gradually coming towards her.

"Stop. Don't come any closer. Mom!!" Lisa yelled immediately. She didn't know what they wanted to do to her and she certainly wasn't ready to find out yet.

But however, they didn't listen and kept on coming to her. One suddenly grabbed and making her stay still while the other brought out a blindfold.

"Leave me. Let me go. Mom ... Please help me... Mom!!" She kept on yelling but no one answered her. The one with the blindfold placed it on her eyes tying it firmly before letting her go.

"What's going on? Mom!!"

"Will you quit causing noise pollution" a voice snapped at her. She could tell it was her mom's voice.

She heard her heels clicking on the ground till her fingers gripped Lisa's chin raising it up a little.

"Mom" Lisa whispered feeling scared. The way her mom held her chin made her feel afraid. She was holding her like a stranger. Her grip on Lisa chin was quite firm.

"Now listen very careful. You aren't to cause noise or anything when they arrived. Just keep shut and sign what ever is giving to you . Got it" her mom said to her coldly.

Lisa nodded her head before remaining motionless.

Ruth smirked while watching the scene. Mrs Williams was doing exactly what she instructed her to do.

"Good. You can untie her eyes and hand but shut her mouth" Mrs Williams ordered to the men who walked in earlier.

Ruth glared at Lisa hatefully before leaving so that Lisa won't see her.

Lisa eyes were untied but her lips were tied immediately. Just then, a man walked in in suit. He was accompanied by a guard and a lawyer.

"Oh your here" Mrs Williams greeted him with a smile.

The man face was simply blank. He didn't reciprocate Mrs Williams smile and simply went down to busy.

"I am delegate sent to have Miss Lia sign the papers since the family unfortunately couldn't make. " He said formally and professionally.

" Of course. I have been informed already" Mrs Williams replied still maintaining the smile.

" He has already signed the papers. We just need Miss Lia signature then our lawyer here will take it to court to have it registered" he ignored Mrs Williams before facing Lisa who he thinks is Lia.

His eyes squinted in suspicious. Why was her mouth tied ? He wondered. He looked at Mrs Williams who returned his look with another smile.

Maybe she was a talkative and her mom didn't want her to over talk and disgrace her self.

What ever the reason was, he wasn't sure.

However, He gave a little shrug. He didn't care to know why Lisa was tied up. As long as she's his boss wife to be.

"Just sign here" he gave Lisa the paper which she took and signed quietly.

Her eyes lingered on the Bold Italics on the top of the papers

MARRIAGE REGISTRY.

Her mom was really to determined to get her married after all.

There was no escaping this time. She just have to leave with whatever happens to her now.

The door bell rang and she immediately went to get it. Her face brightened in happiness

"Mom finally your home. Tell me how it went" Wendy urged immediately as she led her mom to the sitting room.

Ruth, Wendy's mom took a seat on a couch while Wendy sat beside her immediately.

"It was a success my love. Finally, Lisa is no longer a obstacle to you" Ruth said in smile. Wendy froze for a bit.

" So you mean, my prince charming will no longer go after her and I can finally have him? " Wendy asked for extra confirmation.

" Yes my love. Josh is all yours now. No one can take him away from you not even Lisa" her mom assured and Wendy smirked.

Finally... Lisa was out of her way. While in college, Lisa had a crush. He was more like a stalker though. Josh kept on chasing Lisa to accept and be his girl but Lisa never did. On the other hand, Wendy was mad about him. She did everything to get his attention but his eyes were only on Lisa.

Even after graduating from college, he is still after Lisa even though Wendy was readily throwing herself at him.

Lisa already told wendy of her interest in Josh too since she's done with college and her plans to accept him. This was three weeks before Lia death. Wendy was fuming mad when she heard it and that's why she and her mom plotted against Lisa.

And Lisa coming into their house last night was a bonus point for them. Wendy's mom managed to convince Lisa's mom to get her out of jail and have her married to Lia's lover rather than telling him the truth about Lia's death.

"Can't believe Lisa will soon be married to that monster. I wonder how she'll survive" Wendy wondered out loud. Ruth scoffed.

" Don't tell me your feeling pity for her now. Just focus on how to win Josh heart and have him all to your self" Ruth told her which made Wendy smile.

" Of course mom. I'll make sure he's wrapped around my finger very soon" Wendy said smiling evilly.
