Chapter 82: Rapt Attention

I walked inside the class long after Narin entered so as not to raise suspicions.

As she had said before now, I could not recognize myself after her transformation on me. My platinum coloured was turned into a pretty shade of ginger red and I had freckles on my face.

She made me wear braces and some nerdy glasses to match, "Remember, you can only keep up with this identity for just an hour. You don't want me to explain what will happen to you when that time elapses" she had said to me in a croaky tune.

I felt like Cinderella, a princess I read about as a little girl back then at home.

I had snuck into the palace library to get the book to keep myself busy after Mom grounded me for going out to the streets on my own.

To my relief, I did not bring much attention to myself as I made my way to sit just behind Narin. She couldn't stop herself from chuckling non-stop at my new looks.
