Nyx's POV I heard some mumbling and then shuffling and strained my ears while asleep. Suddenly the sounds died down and the room returned to its silent state. I snuggled into my pillow intending to fall asleep again when the mumbling sound came again. My eyes fluttered open, slowly taking in my environment. Narin sat crosslegged on her bed with two sticks of incense smoldering at the end that was lit and releasing fragrant smoke into the atmosphere. The stick burns slowly, and as it does, the smoke travels up the length of the stick, creating beautiful patterns and swirls in the air.
