CHAPTER FOUR

Tala Pov.

I layed on the bed, not moving my body and watched as the moon illuminated the room. I could hear Logan breathing softly with his large arms grabbing my body like I wanted to run away.

When he kissed me, I wasn't expecting it to feel so natural. I've never known any man in my life and I didn't know what it meant to be kissed.

My Wolf growled “More”!!! When I shifted my mouth away from his lips, that little beast needed to calm down, my mind wondered about the event of the day.

“What's wrong?”. Logan asked, stroking my hair.

Looking up, I searched his face. How could I tell him that I want more?. Yet I'm still scared of him. Logan breathed his jaws showing his neatly trimmed beard. He's so handsome fucking handsome.

“Tell me what you want ?”. Logan asked again, showing concern.

“Is this for real?. All of this?”. I asked him, touching his face

“ Yes, it is. You're the most beautiful woman I've ever seen”. He bent forward and pressed his lips against mine. Leaving little nips that left my blood roaring.

“ I'll give you the world Tala, I love you and all of this is real”.

I gasped, pressing my body against his broad chest, so I could lay on top of him.

“ Why'd you choose me?”. I asked him, searching his eyes for answers.

“ I didn't. The moon goddess chose you for me”. His red eyes glowed under the moonlight.

“ And what do you think?. Did she choose right?”. I asked him using my fingers to trace the hairs on his chest.

“ What do you think? Do you feel that I’m not right for you ?”. He looked into my eyes, now his turn searching my eyes for answers.

“ I think she chose right”. I giggled and kissed him.

“ I love you Tala”. He groaned against my ear, and pulled me close to himself.

With what Logan has done to me, he had lit me up. From being the only survivor of the Nobleheart pack to the Luna of the High crest pack all within a short period of time, I allowed my mind to wander all around while I drifted off to sleep.

Morning came and I spent the early hours of the day running, and hunting animals in the woods. Lyra took me up high on a mountain and was yelling instructions at me.

“ You stay calm and anticipate your prey”. She whispered gently to my ears as we waited to catch a deer.

My wolf was already growling from hunger and I've been trying my best to keep it quiet. My teeth were out and my eyes glowed brightly, my heart beating fast and I was ready to pounce on the deer. I couldn't wait any longer.

I launched at the prey.I ran as fast as my legs could carry me but eventually lost it. Lyra was furious and yelled at me.

“ Do as I say or you won't learn anything and you'll be a useless wolf”.

“ Did you just call me useless?”. I asked her, panting heavily and my claws gradually coming out of my hands.

“Yes I did, you've got any problem with that?”. She replied, spitting on the ground.

I growled and launched at her, but she was too fast and dodged my attack swiftly. Her hands grabbed me by the hair and pulled me down to the ground, I hit the ground with a heavy thud and cried out in pain.

She pounced on me and wanted to strike me with a huge blow but an angry growl sounded from within the woods. I saw a huge Wolf figure knocking her into the woods fiercely.

I managed to stand up from the ground and the huge wolf stood beside me, it looked at me and I saw the red glowing eyes .

It was Logan, “How did he get here in such a short amount of time?”

“ Hurt her again and I'll slash your throat”, he growled fiercely at Lyra after shifting back to his human form.

“ She attacked me first”. Lyra responded still panting and her claws ready for a fight.

“ I don’t want to hear any excuse from you , you are meant to teach her to master her skills”. Logan yelled .

“ Lay a finger on her and that will be the end of you”. He turned and carried me in his arms, while we headed home.

I felt safe in his arms, and clutched my hands firmly on his body. Logan was so protective of me.

“ Put me down, I'm strong enough to walk home”. I told him . He stopped in his tracks and looked into my eyes .

“ No you’re not”. You’re hurt , I felt your pain when you twisted your ankle”.

“ How did you get here so fast?”, my eyes curiously searching his face for an answer.

“ Seriously?” . He looked at me with a smile forming at the side of his mouth.

“ I've never been with an Alpha. You're the first man to come into my life”. I looked at his eyes and I knew he understood what I meant.

We got home and he put me down, my ankle was already healed and I wasn't feeling pain anymore.

Logan laid me down and fed me with the delicious meal he had prepared earlier.

“ You're a good cook, not bad for an Alpha”. I said with my mouth full.

“ I was trained the hard way and I learnt to do all the work by myself”. He replied, without looking at me .

“ Oh, sorry for that”. I replied and I continued eating my food.

Asher rushed in hurriedly, and I paused on my meal.

“ We found something, Logan”. He said, gasping for breath.

Immediately Logan wore his clothes and quickly put on his boots .

“ Stay inside Tala, I'll be back later”. He kissed my forehead and dashed out of the door with Asher following closely behind him.

A loud howl sounded through the woods and I knew it only belonged to one person .
