“Will you stop,” Gia groaned as I passed her for the thousandth time. “Everything is going to be fine.” I didn’t believe her and the look I gave her hopefully said that. “They know what they’re doing.”

Max and Nico had left nearly two hours ago. Twenty minutes later, my dad left with some of his men to provide backup if needed. That’s when I had started to pace. The idiot, Orlando had asked the guys to meet him in the same place as they had before, amateur. Luckily that meant that they didn’t have to go over a new exit strategy. That was what Max had said anyway. It was supposed to calm me down. It didn’t.

“Why haven’t we heard anything?” I threw my head back and looked up at the ceiling. This was torture. My dad was bad enough. I was always worried when he went out himself on missions of any kind. But put him in this situation and then add Max, I was going to explode if I didn’t hear from one, or both of them very soon.
