My phone beeped, letting me know I received a text. I read it then handed my phone to Vince. “He wants to meet,” I tell him. He nods his head as he reads the text before handing it back. “What do you want me to reply? I want this over with.”

He looked over at his second in command, Domenico, who shrugged. “I say you meet him, and we just round up whoever is with him. We can get the others out later. If we take down the little faccia a culo, the others will be rattled at least a little and they will back down.”

We all looked from one person to the other. It looked to me like they were agreeing with him. Part of me did too. Another part though, wanted my woman to start her reign with no one against her. Hard to do in our world but at least I could hope for her not to have any rats in her house.
