The sun shining through the window is what wakes me up the next morning. I roll over to cuddle deeper into Max, but he isn’t there. With furrowed eyebrows, I sit up and look around the room. The bathroom door is closed but I can see that the light is on. Holding my breath, I listen. The shower is going.
