The words from the rogue stuck firmly in my mind. I kept thinking them over as we drove back to the City. He had told Eden City to prepare for war when the City had already been thrown into enough fright already.

He hadn't said his name but I was damn sure he was part of the Blood Moon pack.

How the fuck did the bastard survive for almost a hundred years? If I hadn't been to Old Monroe myself, I would never believe it could happen. I wondered about the shock on the face of the elders when I give them the news.

I could see Adam itching to break the silence but I preferred to ruminate over the event during the drive. I had told him everything the rogue mind linked to me as we walked back to the car. We had looked over some other buildings, trying to figure out whether he had hidden somewhere else.
