58: Fingers and Lips

I checked myself in the vanity mirror for the umpteenth time. I had been plunging myself up the bed, trying to play dress up and losing the zeal instantly, intermittently.

I admired the waves so much I wanted to keep memories of myself on them. I remembered seeing Emily on waves in one of her pictures on Instagram and I instantly blocked the image out.

If I had done these waves back in Crescent Valley, with my power suit outfit working on a tremendous project, my vision board would be ticking off some ambitious goals

But remembering I was nowhere near Crescent Valley got me immediately downcast and lonely.

I needed to know what was going on over there, was my boss really bothered about me? Did nobody wonder why my car was probably empty with the bonnet wide open on the highway?

I wondered whether someone was already interested in my push for the Eden City project but I knew they were protecting the forest with all their wealth and power.
