Chapter 31: Jaden's other half

The path at Jaden's feet fades as it leads into the darkness of the woods. He kept following what his heart says without having a second thought. It must be for the sake of his curiosity.

Somewhere in there, are the answers he needs, and so his feet follow the narrow strip of naked earth among the giants of root and leaf.

Jaden let his hands touch all the leaves as he passes, feeling their gentle spirits soothe his soul. He opens up his other senses to sound, to the aroma, and listens very carefully to every instinct within him.

As Jaden continues striding in the woods peacefully, he suddenly saw an abandoned house from afar. Without having a rethink of what could be inside the house, Jaden bravely moved closer to it.

Luckily for him, the house seems unlocked and he slowly enters it. He saw a little lamp by the entrance and picked it up to guide him through the house.
