Chapter 13: Nightmare
James' hand hangs in the air, immediately he heard someone yelled at them. When he turned to check who it is, it was a guard, in charge of the Canteen. James quickly returns his hand to his side and changes his eyeballs back to normal.
Jaden couldn't be happier, when someone approached them, to stop James. He knew there's no way he would be a match for his strengths.
"What's going on here?" The man asked as he got closer to their place.
"It's nothing!" James was the first to answer, with a smile.
"And you?" The man turned to Jaden.
Jaden looked around before his gaze finally lands on Joey. In an almost low voice, Joey rubbed his both hands together and pleaded with Jaden to agree to what James said.
"Sir, I was the first person to get here, but he suddenly came to drives me away. When I insisted on not getting up, he tries to harm me with----"
"That's a lie, sir!" James cuts in abruptly.
