CHAPTER 98: I AM OVER HIM

Avita arrived at her residence at six o’clock, and she wasn’t feeling well.

Although she felt good about standing up for herself earlier and receiving clarity on an issue that she had previously dismissed and didn’t completely address, the fact that painful memories filled her mind didn’t sit well with her.

Being branded a bastard is something she has despised since she was a child. That was a direct reminder of how she grew up without parents and how difficult life was as an abandoned child.

She wasn’t the only one who was tossed out or grew up as an orphan, but being reminded of it all the time, wasn’t very nice.

And as she carried her numerous groceries into the house, she couldn’t help but be thankful that her relationship with Patrick was over.

She had always watched the news and seen videos about gender-based violence and how it might affect a woman, man, or child growing up in such environments.
