Unfinished Business

Jason stood there, lost for words, as he looked from Liam to Laura.

"Oh boy, don't say anything again, Liam," Agnes said as she finally pulled them inside the room.

Laura turned to Jason as soon as they were alone and said, "I am so sorry about that; it must be one of their pranks."

Jason shrugged. "I must say I was really surprised, but I guess the jokes are on me."

Laura smiled, grateful that he was not poking into the Daddy issue.

"Thank you for understanding. Please, whenever those two come to you for something, could you please let me know?" Laura said.

"I am definitely doing that from now on." Jason said, nodding his head, adding, "I must say they are actually cute."

Laura shook her head. "You won't say that if they decide to make you the target of a prank," she replied.
