A Priority

David stood there wondering what Agnes was talking about, but he managed to smile as she stepped back and drew him inside.

"Good day, ma'am," David said.

"Come, join us," Agnes said, pulling towards the table.

"I see you made it," Laura said as soon as she saw David.

"Yes, I did; it would have helped if you had told me it was the twins birthday," David said.
