I bite into the sandwich as I sink back on the couch.

This is the fifth sandwich I've had today. I can't get enough of sandwiches. Fùck Brandon for stealing my sandwich this morning.

Lana pours herself some more wine. Yes, she's drinking wine in the afternoon. We are celebrating her proposal. She's drinking for two because I can't drink.

She sips her wine, shaking her head.

"You're being dramatic, Dan."

"Dramatic?" I scowl at her. "The only one who is dramatic is Damien. Asking my ex to drop on his knees and beg me for forgiveness infront of everyone at the office after I specifically asked him not to do anything about Brandon."

"Brandon attacked you."

"I wanted to deal with him myself. It was my fight to fight."

"What were you planning to do about it?"

"Exactly." She says. "Nothing. You were planning to do nothing. So your husband did something about it. I would be over the moon if someone stood up for me like that. What Damien did wasn't dramatic. It was
