Brandon has been waiting and begging for a promotion for two whole years now.

Almost everyone has been promoted here except him. I remember hating Damien for a long time for not promoting my boyfriend but now, it makes me want to kiss him. For a moment, I almost forget that he just finished my breakfast as I watched. A rush of adrenaline coarses through me as I sit across from him, watching him asking for something that I know he will never get. Damien will never ever promote him. Poor thing.

Brandon scowls at me.

"Did you hear what I just said?"

"You want a promotion." I smile. "Don't you think you should be asking my husband for that. I wish I could help."

"That's why I came to you." He grins. "Because you will help me get that promotion. And not just me. Even my girlfriend."

"Oh." I chuckle. "You want me to help you and Wendy to get a promotion?"

"And pay rise."

"Wonderful." I lean on the desk. "And how exactly should I go about that?"

"I'm sure it's not hard for a woman like you."
