That car looks precisely like a popular car to her, though she saw it faintly and it was on the other side of the road. The car was driving into Molicano city while they were on their way out of the city. She wished her dad would turn the wheel around to have her doubt-ridden. Her dad concentrated on his driving, so he obviously did not see the car on the other side. Heena was unable to see who drove the car because the glass was tinted and there was no way she could see through the closed glass.
Suddenly, her dad turned the wheel around, and in the blink of an eye, they were facing Molicano already. She was happy that with the way her father is driving, they might catch up with the car, to satisfy her curiosity.
"Dad, why are we going back? She asked. Heena craved to know if they were both on the same page.
"Dear sorry fastened your seat belt well cause am about to unveil the James Bond in me." She was startled by her father's statement.
"Mr. James Bond, please drive with caution even if we can't catch up with them," Heena let out.
"Dear, what are you talking about? I'm not catching up with anyone, I forgot the file that Bari brought for me earlier, and I need to work on it tonight," Mr. Ro'Sau explained.
She was happy to know that her flimsy wish was granted by her father unknowingly. As her father was driving, she was peeping through the side glass, she sat in the front seat with her father. She was so uneasy by doing so, she attracted her father's attention.
"Hey! Are you okay? Cause you don't look like it." Mr. Ro'Sau asked.
"I'm fine dad, just looking at the beautiful creations. You know we don't have such in Ordana, despite being our country's capital.
"You are very clever. Can you see one of the reasons why I like coming here? You can't Imagine how colourful this particular area always is during the Christmas festival."
While the father and daughter conversation was going on, Heena did not abandon her mission. Of course, Molicano is more lively than Ordana. People living in Ordana are more business-minded than adding colour to the streets.
They are approaching Elbay supermarket. Usually, there's always lite traffic because of the customers that are driving out after shopping. The supermarket is one of a kind, there's nothing that you are looking for that's not available, moreso, they sell at a discount price.
They have quality goods, and they are swift at attending to customers. In a nutshell, Elbay is a cool place to visit, especially with your loved ones.
There was no traffic light directing the queue but there is a traffic warden that does the job perfectly. Heena let glass, she was feeling the fresh air with her hand that was outside. As the traffic warden was about to direct their car, Heena saw the peculiar parked outside Elbay supermarket.
It was the same colour and the plate number is almost the same just that she was unable to see the last digit because there was an image that shades her from beholding the last digit, plus there were been driving in a rush, so she can't ask her dad to slow down because of many vehicles that surrounded them.
"Dad, why does mom hate coming to Molicano?" This question looks more like its investigation. "I mean you both started your life here together, why did she hate this beautiful city overnight?" She added.
"She has her undisclosed reasons for not wanting to come here, just as I have my reasons for being attached to this place," Ro'Sau said.
"But dad, what if mom is just…?" Her dad quickly stopped her from saying whatever she had to say.
Mr. Ro'Sau's mood changed to an unhappy one "No more Molicano conversation! Understand?"
"Understood!" She shouted. There was a big secret behind her parents' story about their early life in Molicano, if not she doesn't understand how one doted on the city and the other hated the city with a great passion. Funny enough Molicano is a fun city, and their mother painted it to be an evil place.
Heena intends to say "what if mom comes here in disguises alone." Back to the familiar car, the car looks exactly like her mother's. The beginning of the plate number is the same, she could have known if it was her mom that she saw or not if she was able to obtain the last digit.
There was a heavy disappointment on Heena's face as she could not guess the last digit of the car plate number. She wished she had the supernatural ability to know the number.
Each time their mom tells them a bad story about Molicano, she always feels that there's more to it. The real problem now is that both her parents don't like talking about it.
In less than 30 minutes they arrived at the mansion, Mr. Ro'Sau got down, entered the living room, and brought out the file. He double-checked if he locked the door well.
When Heena mentioned why he likes to visit Molicano, he wished he could tell her the truth and all. However, he feared that the truth would damage her as she has a feeble mind. Also, he and Trisi promised each other not to tell the children, most especially Heena the truth about what happened in Molicano years ago, this is the best he can do to protect her as a father.
He knew without him around, Heena's future would be in great turmoil, that's why he carefully planned all his steps before the trial. He's just waiting for the trial to be over and done with.
Heena is not exactly twenty-five years, she still has a few months to have her silver jubilee celebration, and her father is secretly planning a mind-blowing surprise for her.
He loved Heena the most not because of Heena but because of her mother. Is just funny how a father loves her daughter because of the mother, and the mother bore hatred toward her daughter. Ro'Sau's family is a very difficult one to understand.
Mr. Ro'Sau is somehow happy with the ongoing trial because he will have more time to plan the success of his daughter's birthday and probably, Heena would take over the leadership position earlier before she clocks twenty-seven years.
The file that Mr. Bari brought for him is his great masterpiece plan for Heena, even if the files fall into the wrong hands, they can't do anything with it, the words inside are encrypted, and only he knows the deciphering key. The least they would do to it is to burn it and he doesn't want that to happen.
Mr. Ro'Sau was confident that the trial wouldn't linger for more than seven days. He knew all the accusations were fabricated and the authorities would do the right thing to catch the real culprit.
One thing that baffled Ro'Sau was who could have struck him without warning. Still, like a dream to him, he went to the office from his home happily, and he had to run through the back door because of the cameras around.
"I need to see the face behind this whole thing," he mumbled.
"Dad, are you talking to me?" Heena asked. She knew her dad said something but she was unable to hear him correctly. She was still brooding about the notable resemblance between the vehicle she saw and that of her mom.
It wouldn't have had a deep meaning to her if the location was within Ordana, the fact that her mother dislikes Molicano was what awakened her inquisitory. It's not likely that the driver drove the car there, it's already past office hours.
Mom doesn't like the driver to drive her after office hours, she said she can't afford to pay for the overtime. She always nags about the last person who worked overtime for her many years ago and betrayed her in the end. She doesn't have the energy to deal with such things again. Believe me when I say all these happened even before I was born.
Mom sometimes is a drama queen, let me not forget to tell you that she likes attention. She always argued with my dad for not paying much attention to her. Well, she does this whenever dad and I spend time alone together.
If not for what's going on in dad's office at the moment, as it's almost seven in the evening and dad and I are still out, she would have sent a series of messages to me, which I often find amusing.
"Heena, enough! Bring my husband home now." "Hey! Are you planning to snatch him away from me? He is mine and mine alone." If I should begin to list out her messages, tomorrow we will still be in this same spot.
Speaking about the devil, mum's message just came in. 'If you are planning to sleep outside, send my husband home to me in one piece.' I don't know why mum feels I am dragging her man who is my dad with her.
"Dad, how about we grab a chicken to pacify your wife?" Heena raised a suggestion.
"Sure! Let's do just that," Ro'Sau said as he tried to manage the road.
They went to tasty chicken stands as they got to Ordana, to please Trisi just get a chicken from this stand, she can't resist the aroma.
Has Ro'Sau was trying to find a place to park his car well at the tasty chicken stands, Heena saw a man coming out through the exit, his back view wanted to look like the same man she saw at her mother's office.
Not only Trisi loves the tasty stands chicken, but Heena and Avie also do. I mean all the ladies in Ro'Sau's life cherished the chicken but Trisi is still their master. The only time Trisi gets to chat with Heena with a cool voice is when she's operating on the chicken.Heena was surprised when they got home and Ro'Sau drove to the parking lot, her mother's favorite car is not in the garage. That was the car her mom drove to the office that morning. Whenever her mom sends her those naughty messages, it means she's already back to the house from her outing. But today, she got a message from her mom and her car is not available at the lot. It means she's still out, flexing on her husband's money. Ro'Sau also noticed the absence of his wife's car and the time was a quarter to eight."Dear, it appears we came in before your mom," Mr. Ro'Sau said as he stepped out of his car."I feel so too," she said in response to her father. They both got down from the car, Heena did not forget to carry
Ro'Sau and his wife were fierce with one another that night, the elation lasted a while. He watched his wife fall asleep on his arm before he went to his room. He knew he left the file in his car, he was exhausted that he let the file be.Trisi was in a good mood the following morning, not like her daily routine she would have been inside her room, waiting for Heena's breakfast call. But this morning Trisi was the first to be up, she switched on the living room light and then walked to the kitchen. She looked at the menu for the day, it was on Thursday, and on the menu list were Breakfast Burritos.Breakfast Burritos filled with sausage, eggs, cheese, and fresh avocado salsa, these bodega-style are delish any time of day! It takes up to twenty-five minutes to prepare all the Burritos ingredients and fifteen minutes to cook, so, all in all, it is forty minutes. Trisi was in the kitchen arranging all the ingredients together. She brought out first the Avocado-tomato Salsa ingredients;1
"You want to see my d-a-d," Shawn stammered, replying to the weird-looking unknown guests. He didn't open the door for them at first, he was not sure if his dad was expecting any visitors, so he went inside to inform his dad of the unknown guest. As a matter of fact, the Ro'Sau family hardly received visitors for like five years when they lost the eldest member of the family."Shawn, who is the at the gate?" Ro'Sau asked."Three weird men, they claimed that they are here for you," Shawn let it out."Here for me! Ro'Sau exclaimed, but I wasn't expecting anyone," Ro'Sau spoke"Maybe I should send them away," Shawn suggested."No, it's better I go to them," Ro'Sau said and went to the gate. He saw the three men standing outside his gate, he opened the gate and offered them to come inside."Sir we are from Sector F police station, there was a petition against you, so we are here for questioning. I am Inspector Gabi," the officer said and they showed him their identity card."Let's go in fo
When Heena got into the Inspector's office, she noted that the atmosphere was not friendly at all. "Good afternoon sirs," Heena greeted them in low spirit."Welcome!" Inspector Zenaye and Ro'Sau responded while Ijia tightened his face. Heena sat beside her father, however, she was not feeling comfortable as there was silence in the room.Mr. Ro'Sau asked if he could go outside to discuss this with Heena."Who is she to you?" Ijia asked rudely."She's my first daughter," Ro'Sau replied in a good manner. It looks as though Ijia has overtaken the place of Inspector Zenaye. He took the questioning so seriously as if there was a mega prize for him to win with the case."She's your daughter, so what?" Ijia muttered rudely."Please, Can I have a minute with my daughter outside?" Ro'Sau pleaded."Yes, you can," Inspector Zenaye said ahead of inspector Ijia. Seems Ijia has had an unfinished battle with Ro'Sau in the past because his outrageous behaviour towards him calls for questioning."Dad
Heena saw a text message from her boyfriend. "Dear so sorry about your dad, I know this is hard for you, see you soon," Roy texted Why is Roy making a big deal out of dad trial? Dad will soon come home. I need to tell him about his soon-to-be son-in-law. Dad must be delighted to learn that Roy cares about him.Suddenly, she remembered that she had missed calls earlier while she was having her bath. She saw Leah's calls, Roy and an unidentified number. She settled to call Leah first, afterward phone her dad to know where he is at the moment, and then call Roy. The unidentified number was international, so she suspected the caller to be Roy. The minute between when Roy and the unidentified number calls came in was close.Ring! Ring!! Ring!!! Leah's phone was ringing."Hello babe," Leah said"Hi, I missed your calls earlier. I was…," Heena tried to explain herself, however, Leah grabbed the words from her."I understand, I know you are going through a tough time," Leah let out."Thanks,
The next day, Trisi was the first to leave the house as she had something urgent to take care of. Avie who always likes to wait on her bed for Heena to ask her out for breakfast woke up early, not exactly as she didn't sleep well at night. She was thinking about the text message she got from an unknown person. She has given much thought to it that she didn't want to see Heena as she woke up. So she went to the kitchen to make breakfast for herself. She's determined to cook whatever she sees in the kitchen, she won't mind eating her burnt offering all in the name of food. The kitchen was so big, it had two freezers. One is basically to store all cooking items while the other is for drinks. She went to the kitchen clueless, thinking that's how easy it was to perform kitchen magic because she has heard Heena speak about how the first thing she set her eyes on in the kitchen inspired her for the cooking. Avie thought of doing the same. When she opened the freezer the first thing she saw
Avie's belly creates a rumbling sound, she's ravenous but pride won't let her plead with her sister for help. Shawn noticed he won't attain a thing if he asked Heena to do as always her kitchen magic. He placed an order online and asked the vendor to bring any available breakfast meal for three. He knew his mom had gone out because her car was not in the garage. Heena won't let her phone rest, she kept on calling lawyer Bei's line that was not going through. She browsed online for the address of lawyer Bei's in-law, but she found nothing. Her dad won't say anything without lawyer Bei and today is the weekend, if they can't get him out today, he will have to sleep more days in prison. She has been dawdling for Roy's company lawyer's number. He promised to forward the number to her after he had spoken with the lawyer formally. Her only hope left is to ask the Tulip-Consult lawyer for help. Heena felt the case is not a very deep one. All the lawyer needs to do is to guide her dad in t
As soon as Avie heard the sound of Heena shutting the gate, she came outside. Heena's leftover meal was still hanging on the table. She left in a hurry, she unintentionally neglected such a small matter.Avie saw Shawn pressing his phone, he sat on one of the chairs in the dining. She snubbed him and went to the kitchen. She saw the wrapped package in the cabinet. First, she looked inside the trash can, she saw two rough packages without the content, this gave her the clue that the wrapped one belonged to her.She opened the package, it was chicken and waffles, the same as what the others got. She placed them on the tray with water and was moving to the dining centre, her phone chimed. She immediately put the tray on the table and scrolled through her message. A picture was sent to her from the same unknown number. The anonymous person captured the moment when Heena was laughing with her dad at the police station a while ago. She became so enraged."Shawn, did you have some free time,
Shawn realised Heena would stop by Leah's house first on her way to the office, so he sent a text to Leah ahead of Heena's arrival to inform her about the slap she got from their mother earlier.Leah felt terrible for Heena, she wished she could wind the hand of time, she has been staying at the entrance for Heena.A few minutes later, Heena pressed the button, and immediately Leah freed the door, the mark on Heena's face was too obvious. "Only heaven knows for long she has been crying on her way here?" Leah wondered inwardly as she walked Heena to her room."What happened to your face?" Leah asked as she can't keep to herself any longer."It's nothing. Hmmm, I guess something entered my eyes," Heena lied."Oh really, the stuff must be huge to have left a mark on your face," Leah said sarcastically."Help me with some of your makeup, let me apply. I'm getting late to work," Heena said to stop Leah asking further questions.Leah grabs the box of makeup, helping Heena to apply it on her
"Shawn, you don't have to be rude to Mom, you know…." Shawn could not let her land safely with her words before he snatched it from her mouth."Does she have to treat you like garbage often to thrill Avie?" Shawn asked angrily. There was silence between the duo for some seconds before Shawn took it upon himself to halt the silence."Sis! I can endure all things, but the thought of mom bringing in a total stranger and expecting us to treat him like our dad drives me nuts." This time there was a little calmness in his voice."I understand how you feel, trust me I feel more awful than you." She put in her opinion."Take a look at what happened in there, Dad would have defended you and not encouraged Mom to slap you. What did the strange man do? Adding fuel to an already burning fire. He's so desperate for Mom's attention," Shawn let out.Well, the reverse is the case, it was Trisi that loves attention so much, and Mr. Pindra was only dancing to her melodies."Shawn, about dad, let's disc
After spending about two hours on the phone talking with her business associate, Daryl turned to see Heena with her fragile personality snoozing at the edge of a family-size well-furnished bed. She grinned inwardly."This girl is so amazing!" Daryl exclaimed before pushing Heena into the middle of the bed so she can sleep soundly, she then wrapped her with a blanket. She thought of taking pictures of Heena's sleeping posture so she could taunt her later but her phone battery percentage is low, so she couldn't have her picture. After she has carefully made Heena sleep comfortably, she then plugged her phone into one of the available charging ports in the hotel room, then took her bath, and joined Heena on the bed to also yield her body to nature's call.Daryl is the only daughter of a business mugu in a country miles away from Swala. Although both parents are from Swala country, they left the city to further their Western education at one of the most recognized universities in the worl
Heena's head was split into a million pieces, thousands of questions roamed and disturbed her already troubled soul. Disturbing questions lurked freely in her head making themselves comfortable as they are there to stay, ever since her father has been locked up in jail there has been no peace at all, both in her home and head.Oh, she was so lost in thought she didn't notice a car headed right towards her, the piercing sounds of tires against the road were ear-splitting. Turns out a lady was the one driving the car, she got down from the car to find a rather dishevelled girl looking at her.It took Heena some minutes to tell herself that she doesn't know the person standing before her."Uhm, are you okay?". The young lady in front of her asked."I think so," Heena muttered and tried to stand but fell immediately."Wait, let me help you up", she offered to help."Thanks". Heena said. The young lady helped Heena to her car."I don't know what you're going through but I can't just leave
As Heena thrust the door open, she began to hear noise coming out of their house. What could the noise be all about? she wondered?.Immediately she arrived in the living room, she saw Shawn fuming in irritation, she knew she heard him say "That can never be possible," before he slammed the door and went out of her sight.Avie is the worst person to talk to at this moment, though she looked weary but she fixed her attention on her phone to get away from having eye contact with Heena."Shawn, wait! Where are you going? Heena cried out."No need to follow him, he will be fine," Trisi said casually. It is easy to guess that their mother is the flesh behind the noise. "Dad hasn't spent a day in Prison. Can we behave ourselves and let peace reign?" Heena cried out.Heena noticed there was a movement in the bathroom. She thought that they are not more than this, could it be that her dad is back? On second thought she remembered that there was no way that their dad would use Shawn's bathroom.
Ro'Sau gripped Heena by her, baby girl gives attention carefully to what I am about to say, Ro'Sau whispered, while Heena nods her head in response."What did you think this place is called?" He asked Heena.Heena raised her brow to have a look at her dad. She wanted to be sure if truly the man standing with her is her dad. His question deserves to be questioned."Don't look at me like that, Princess. Just tell Daddy what your answer is," Ro'Sau let out funnily."Even a blind man knows that everything about this building is Prison," she reacted."You are wrong dear," Ro'Sau said Heena came to be disturbed. The inscription outside says Prison. How come her daddy is saying otherwise. Heena possessed the facial expression of explain yourself to me, because I am lost."Dear here is not a prison, but a school to learn more about life," Ro'Sau let out, though his mind was heavy. He never saw it coming even in his dream that one day his wall would crack down overnight. The worst of all, he
The guard glanced at the $100 in his hand carefully, the silence was already killing Heena. She couldn't resist the temptation of not seeing her dad, so she tried to barge in if it could work as the guards are busy sending secret codes to each other."You only have 5 min in there," said one of the guards seated by the corner of the gate.Heena nodded her head in affirmation, and she took a few steps forward to proceed into gaining access to the main building."Where did you think you were going?" A thick voice asked from behind.Heena was terrified by the question and she lost her balance in a split second, she almost reached for the ground, but the empty chair beside her helped her to be on her toes. She was still in a daze. A single question made all her limbs weak, she was standing in the midst of the guards and Leah, however, she was seeing a different thing in her mind."Young lady, I don't mean to frighten you away, wait right here for my return," the thick voice guard said to H
They drove for about one hour from the court to their house not a single word was heard from one another. It was an abrupt silence, and Trisi was driven with resentment. If not for the fact that the road was less busy, another headline would have surfaced in the news. Immediately they got to the house, it was a busy day for them, they all went to their room, they were all acting up like they had lost a dear one to untimely death. Yes! Prison is not a home to dwell in for anyone, but as long as there is life, there is always hope.Heena spent thirty minutes in her room before she rushed out of the house without a word as others were in their room respectfully. She called Leah on the phone to meet her up somewhere far from her house. In less than thirty minutes Leah showed up."Hey! What's wrong?" Leah asked"Nothing, I needed someone to escort me to the prison," Heena answered back."Oh my! You scared me on the phone with the way you sounded," Leah confessed."Sorry about that, I was
Despite all the shreds of evidence presented in the court, Heena and Shawn still believed that their dad was innocent. Their dad gives more attention to moral values than anything else. How could such a person be found wanting for an illicit act? This is a question that is worth asking.Ro'Sau was led out of the courtroom by a few guards, heading to the bus that will take him and other criminals to the prison.Heena ran as fast as she could to her dad. She was crying and shouting "dad! I know you are innocent. We will fight this till the end." Her cry almost made her dad tear up, as the man that he is, he had to control his emotions. Shawn also walked up to his dad and hugged him tightly. The guards understood so they gave them time to say goodbye to each other. Avie stand aloof, she doesn't know if she should cry or scream, but she did wear a sad look. Trisi went to see her husband briefly before he was taken away."Please look after the family well for me," Ro'Sau confessed to Tris
