No humans can be seen outside their house until it’s 8 in the morning. Not because they are afraid of the animals living in the forest but because they are giving space to the animals and controlling the pollution.
But, the people in the city don’t know that they are under the leadership of a werewolf. Government has no place in the city's control. All the things are under him, DEVLIN. The man/werewolf holds nothing but power, money, and strength. He is the chairman of one of the world’s biggest industrial firms, Atlantica. Everyone knows about the chairman of Atlantica but no one knows him being the one. He is also not any normal werewolf, but the strongest Alpha of the pack of werewolves which is living in Atlanta. Atlanta doesn’t have any other werewolves except the members of his pack. If any werewolves or even a human that wants to enter into the city should pass through the security guards who are also werewolves. But, still everything can’t be controlled right? He is also the CEO but he is acting in his own office as head of the Finance department. His friend and Beta of the pack, Connor is acting like CEO when he didn’t even know about the expansion of CEO. All the works are only taken by Devlin and Cara, Connor’s wife cum his assistant Cara. She is also the omega of the pack. According to Devlin, Connor’s and Cara’s pair is the best. Both of them are made for each other. Even when he loves this couple, he sometimes feels jealous because he still didn’t find his mate.Devlin used to go to the office before 8.00 Clock but today, October 19, 2021, he had some important meeting with some people about the work he is hiding from his friends and the whole world, so he is late to the office. Before, he entered into the office leaving his black bugatti on the parking a lot, he thought today is like every other normal day except for knowing about someone he needs to deal with early as possible, but no, he didn’t know that today is different. When he entered the office the time is already 9.30 and people has already started to come. He straightly went to CEO's office and starts to do some bending work. He doesn't need to fear anyone as no one other than Connor and Cara will enter the CEO floor. Even if someone saw him he has no problem.
He looked up when he heard the closing sound of the door. He looked up only to see a blonde girl and man with red head which are surely both Connor and Cara are eating each other’s faces.
“Can’t you guys just behave inside the CEO’s office?” Devlin chided which made Connor look at him with a smirk.
“Oh! My sweetie baby is jealous. Dev, why don’t you go and search for your mate better than sitting here? Just look at you, already 30. Ok, I agree that even if you don’t look handsome like me, you look somewhat good with your muscled body, grey eyes, and black hair, but, that doesn’t mean you’re still young. You…should…find…your…mate…soon”. Connor chuckled and Cara laughed which made Devlin go outside the room not able to hear his friend’s advice anymore.
Devlin straightly went to his cabin in the finance department and sat on the chair with a thud not in anger but in frustration that he can’t able to find his mate still now. Many girls wanted him, wants him but he only wants his mate. He shook the thoughts away and started to work on other things. The assistant manager in the finance department was just fired by Cara because he kept on harassing the girls who are in the low grade. So, now they arranged the interview for the assistant tomorrow. Everything is already arranged for the interview. He took the file of the information on people who are going to attend tomorrow’s interview and started to study their CVs.
When he is half the way through, he noticed some different feelings inside him. His wolf Den started to scratch his inside like he wants to get out. He can’t able to get what his wolf wants. So, he started to talk with his wolf which is the better option for him now.
“Den, what the hell do you want? Why are you doing that?” He asked his wolf only to get silent as the response. He got confused because this is the first time his wolf is not hearing him. He started to analyze what new thing he did and that’s when he realized the new file in his hands which he still didn’t read. He opened the file to find the reason for this behavior of his wolf.
But, everything stopped for a moment when he saw the picture of the girl having deep ocean blue eyes, a pointed nose, and brown hair. She is the epitome of beauty. His heart immediately caught her eyes and that’s when his wolf almost squealed in happiness inside him with the word “Our mate”. Devlin’s heart stopped for a second when he heard that. His happiness went high to the unknown level knowing that his girl is near. He immediately ran to the CEO’s cabin not caring about anyone or anything holding that file in his hand tightly not even wanting to lose her picture. He didn’t knock on the door and when he got inside he saw that Cara is doing some work sitting opposite Connor who is sleeping on the CEO’s chair.
Cara looked at Devlin with confusion seeing the smile on his face. But, she looked at him with shock when he came inside the cabin and went near Connor and then suddenly emptying the jug of water on the sleeping Connor. Connor who was in the beautiful dream with his mate woke up in thundering speed and glared at Devlin. But knowing that does not affect him, he turned and looked at Cara who is controlling her laughter. He breathed out not knowing what type of wife he got and started to ask Devlin. But, before he said anything, Devlin shocked both Connor and Cara with newfound information.
“MY MATE IS NEAR” He announced making both Connor and Cara jump in happiness and they immediately hugged him.
“Wow, finally you found her. I’m going to have my girly time with her while you both boys are having boys' time. I’m going to take her to the shopping, night hunt, etc…” Cara squealed in happiness making both Connor and Devlin smile.
Cara is always like that. She is like a sister to Devlin. Devlin gave the file to Connor and Cara and both started to read that file with so much interest but Connor’s facial expression changed while he was reading the file and he said something which confused both Cara and Devlin.
“I think she is a human. Look, she mentioned that she is an orphan. If she is a werewolf she must have mentioned her parent's name as in our pack there are no orphans except you. And no other pack members also entered our territory” This is what Connor said confusing both and Devlin snatched that file from Connor and started to read it.
That’s when Devlin saw that what Connor said is true. There are no orphans in their pack except him. Yes, his parents were killed by their enemies in his childhood. This means his mate is a human. He guessed that this is going to be tough because humans are different from werewolves. Let’s see what’s going to happen.
