She knew that one day her mate will surely find her but she didn’t think that day would come this soon. She hid herself from the world all these days and now it’s impossible to run. She could have run from here if her mate didn’t find her and now he found her and even if she run to the edge of the world, he will surely find her.
She sat on the one of the chairs not able to guess what she is going to do next. She removed her specs and threw it across the room in the frustration. She was only wearing that glass because she didn’t want any attention and now everything went in vein. She should have checked about this company before coming for the interview. She came out of her thought when she heard the door opening sound. She looked at the door step and saw the woman who took the interview and the CEO coming inside. She stood up seeing both of them coming near her. She is afraid that they will punish her.
“I’m Cara. You want to know about me in two types. First, you want to know me as the Omega of the werewolf pack that is ruling this city and second as the assistant to the CEO of this company. I guess that you were hiding from all of us all these days. I want to know why you were living as a human and as an orphan when you have the werewolf pack” Cara asked wanting to know why she is hurting herself living as an orphan and why she hid that she wants to hide that she is a werewolf.
“I’m sorry Omega. I went against the rule of the pack but I got out of the pack when I was 15 and now I’m 24. I promise that I didn’t only leave the pack but I left werewolves as I don’t want to see them again in life” Lucy assured them she is not a rogue.“May I know why you hate werewolves? Oh, btw I’m beta of the pack and my name is Connor. And don’t tell me that we were stupid all these 9 years to think that there are no orphans in the pack. Do you have your mom and dad?” Connor questioned her but she reply but she went in to a silent mode.
“I think I’m not comfortable in telling the truth sir. I hate werewolves to the core but I’m not a threat to them. And yes, I don’t have mom and dad and I’m really an Orphan. I thought I’ll never come to see any werewolves but when Mam came inside I guessed that I messed up” Lucy spoke the truth confusing both Connor and Cara.
“That was the reason why we are also confused. We thought you’re a human but when I saw you I knew you’re not a human but a werewolf. And another thing you don’t need to call me and Beta, sir or mam” Cara said confused Lucy.
“Why mam? I mean I’m just a normal werewolf and you both are Beta and Omega and more over that he is CEO of the company and you’re his assistant and I’m going to work here as the assistant manager in the finance department” Lucy spoke through the confusion making both Connor and Cara laugh hard.
“Yes dear, you’re right. But the truth is he is not the real CEO, he is just acting and I’m also acting as his assistant where I’m his wife. Sometimes I do some works but not all the times. And the real CEO is none other than your mate and your mate is also our Alpha. So, as per that you’re our Luna and we are the ones who need to respect you” Cara cleared the confusion and Lucy just stood there shocked.
“What I have gotten myself into?” Lucy whispered but it didn’t go unheard by Cara and Connor.
“Just now you have gotten into the right place, Lucy. Please, first sit and think and we are not threat to you” Connor said and both Connor and Cara left the room leaving Lucy all alone in that big hall.Not knowing what to think, Lucy just started to think about her life. She left the werewolf pack when she was 15 and as she was an introvert no one notices that or she thought like that and time goes by years. She was always careful on being around by the other werewolves. She didn’t go outside the city as she knew there must be other pack werewolves. These 9 years almost suck her energy and there were sometimes where she wanted her mate as hell but she didn’t give up. But, now her carelessness cost her all. She doesn’t want to be near any of the werewolves but these three werewolves seem to be good. So, she decided to walk in the path which moon goddess has showed her. And she will also be careful. But, she also knew that she needs to keep distance from her mate as she knew where it will take her.
She went outside and saw Cara is waiting for her. She showed her around the office and her department. She also showed her the cabin and told her that she’ll take her to the lunch then Cara left that place. She arranged her cabin and thought of asking about the work she needs to do to the head of the finance department. As she has no idea about the head of the department she went and knocked the door. When she heard a faint come in, her wolf started to jump up and down. As she didn’t get the reason, she went inside only to see her mate sitting in the head chair in all glory.
She wants to run outside the room but she knew that move will be wrong. She heard her wolf telling her to run to him but with high control she stood other side of the table. But she felt sad when she saw that he is not even looking at her. Her eyes went to the name in the table. “DEVLIN”, she smiled knowing that how sweet her mates name is.“What do you want, Ms. Lucy?” Devlin asked her still not even looking at her. Lucy felt said when she didn’t hear him calling her Baby girl. She don’t want to lie, she loved that name.
“I…Baby…sorry…I…” Lucy shuttered and she wants to smack her own head for losing all of her control in front of him. On the other side, Devlin is doing inner dance seeing his effect on his mate. He clearly noticed her facial expressions when he called her Ms. Lucy. In fact he is also sad about that but he knew he needs to. He stood up and slowly went near her. Seeing him walking towards her like he was walking towards his prey, her heart starts to beat fast and she started to move back while her wolf wants to stand there. He is also slowly stepping near her while enjoying the beauty of his mate. She didn’t notice the tea table in the back side to her and she hit on it and when she was going to fall on the tea table, he caught her in the instance and took her away in the swift motion. She hugged him tightly because of this unexpected force. And Devlin stood still feeling her against him. Even when this is not the first time he is hugging her, this is the first time she is hugging him like he is her life. When she noticed her position, she immediately left him and before she says anything that he said shocked her and she became sad.“Don’t worry, I won’t touch you again”. He said to her but he also said something to himself and that is “until I find the truth and make you tell me that you want me”. But, to Lucy, it is he won’t touch her again and that means he don’t want her. She ran out of his room as her tears are threatening to spill.
