Ch. 107 SMUGGLED 2

Alpha Michael’s POV

The borders of the sack were suffocating, the persistent motion of the truck leaving my back aching and my mouth as dry as the desert. I cursed my own recklessness, the wolfsbane I had heartlessly stuffed into Emily's sack now weighing heavily on my conscience.

As the truck ground to a halt, the sound of the door creaking open had me tensing. A pair of harsh flashlight rays swept across the shipment, finally settling on my sack.

One of the guards I had tasked with this work approached, a knife clutched in his hand. With a few quick slashes, the ropes binding me fell away, and I stood up, cracking my stiff neck and limbs.

The guard eyed me with obvious concern. "Alpha, are you alright? We are finally out of the Glasslake pack, it was hard getting past the securities without getting searched, but our boss was able to get them to turn a blind eye."

I simply grunted in response, accepting the bottle of water he offered. Gulping it down greedily, I glanced towards Emily
