BLAIR’S POV

“Arggh,” Kieran groaned in pain, with a bleeding leg.

He fell to the ground and was shivering from his hair tip to those of his toes.

Kieran was sweating and in tears.

“You know I hate not being spoken back to, the moment I speak,” Jane said.

I immediately looked for somewhere to hide.

“You really thought that you could plot an escape with Blair?” Jane queried, with mockery in her tone.

“I own you, Kieran,” her tone grew more authoritative and louder.

“We were doing so well together,” she said, slowly walking towards him, with the gun pointed at his head, such that Kieran only trembled before her.

“You had everything you ever wanted,” she said, “everything!”

“but you just had to ruin it for all of us, didn’t you?’

She laughed hysterically for a few seconds above sixty.

“You want freedom?” she threw a rhetorical question, in jest of Kieran.

“You lost it years ago with my brother, Kieran,” she yelled in his face.

It was quite clear now.

Kieran told no lies.
