Despite having his own apartment, his old room at the mansion remained the same as if he had lived there. He finished dressing and went downstairs to the dining room, where his parents were already seated with a girl who looked familiar but he couldn't place.
“Good evening, mom and dad,” he said as he sat down.
They both responded to him, and he then looked at his visitor and greeted her coolly because he needed to keep his manners in check.
“I believe you two know each other,” Mr. Dark said, looking at them both.
He was surprised to hear the girl respond, "I don't think he does, but I know him."
“Is that so?” his mother asked.
“Dylan is well-liked at school, but he keeps to himself and his friends, so it's not surprising that he doesn't know who I am.”
"Let's start with introductions," his mother suggested. "Dylan, this is Rita Norris, the daughter of the Minister of Home Affairs."
“Oh, you're the one. It's no surprise I thought you looked familiar. It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Rita.”
“Nice to meet you as well, Dylan.”
Dinner was served, and they followed the table rules like civilized people. After finishing their deserts, the elderly couple left the two of them alone.
“I've always heard the mansion has a lovely garden with fountains.”
“Yes, it is wonderful. Possibly the most beautiful spot in the entire mansion.”
“Really? I've always assumed it was a lie,” Rita explained.
“Let me show you how we can stretch our legs this way. I've been sitting for so long that I'm afraid I'll get leg cramps.”
“All right, let's go.”
He led Rita to the garden at the back of the mansion. The Dark mansion was built nearly half a century ago, and it came with a flower garden of all kinds. Because of his grandmother's love of art, he learned that she had those four fountains built, three in the garden and one in front of the mansion.
He couldn't stop himself from telling Rita about the mansion's and garden's histories. He was relieved because she seemed to be captivated by everything he said.
“I really enjoyed tonight, Dylan.”
“Me too, we should do this sometime.”
“Next time, how about we just meet us kids and leave the elders out of it.”
“Very good idea, I love it.’
“So where do we meet next time.”
“At school, I will be busy so I have no idea,” Dylan said as he looked at her.
“You don't know any cool places where we can meet with friends, something like that.”
Dylan had an epiphany at that moment, and an idea came to him.
"Have you ever heard of Lucid Dreams?"
“What is it?”
“It's a club that caters to every need, or something along those lines. It is the coolest club I have ever been to. It's ideal for hanging out; you should look it up and we can hang out there. What are your thoughts?”
“I will research it and get back to you.”
“All right, just let me know when you make your decision.”
Rita's phone rang at that moment, so she excused herself and returned later. He almost missed it because he was preoccupied with what he saw the last time he went to Lucid Dreams.
“Dylan!!” Rita's summons drew him back in.
“Are you back?”
“Yes, I need to return right now.”
“Is that so?”
“It was a pleasure to be with you. May I have your phone number?”
“Sure. Give me your phone,” he said, extending his hand to her.
She gave him her phone, and he saved his number before returning the phone to its owner.
“Thank you; I will get back to you.”
“All right, let me take you to your car.”
He escorted her to her car and assisted her in getting inside. He stood there watching as she drove away from the mansion. He was finally free, no more pretending and all that. He'd fought to live another day.
He went back inside only to be summoned by his father, who appeared to be awake in his study.
When his father went into the study to see him, all he said was, “don't mess this up."
There may be a few words to anyone but him; he knew the consequences of defying those words, so he would do his best to stay on his father's good side.
Violet sat silently looking at herself in the large mirror mounted on the wall, as she had done every day for the past twenty years. She traced the peach flowers tattoo on her cheek that ran across her throat to her left breast with her right hand fingers.
The moment that mark appeared on her, it was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen. When it came out, her mentor told her it was a blessing of life.
Anne appeared at that precise moment, carrying a tray containing her jewelry. She combed her hair first with a jade comb she had received from someone she had forgotten. Anne wore the gold head chain as well as two hair chains to complement the head chain.
A simple gold choker was placed around her neck, along with a few bangles on her hand, five rings for both of her hands, and her anklet. She never leaves the house without the entire set; if someone can defile her in a split second and make everyone around her look at her as if she were rotten, she can also make herself beautiful so that anyone who sees her becomes enchanted with her as if she used spells.
She stood up and took another look at herself, noting that she was no longer dressed in white. Her goddaughter had made this gown, and it was stunning; she was the last person she wanted to see sad. That's why she was dressed in a black and gold gown today.
“It's lovely,” Violet said, looking at her daughter.
“I'm glad you love it.”
“Let's go to the club; I'll eat breakfast there.” And please contact Martin; I need to speak with him.”
“Indeed, godmother.”
Anne held her hand, as she always did, as they left the mansion for the club, which was one kilometer away. The staff had already been informed when they arrived, so her breakfast was quick. Martin arrived after she had finished eating, and she dismissed everyone. “Why did you want to see me, Violet?” “I was wearing this attire when I suddenly thought of you. How is your family doing these days?” “Thank you for your mercy, they are all fine.” "I am delighted to hear that," she said as she sipped her water, “didn't you hear Suzy is getting married to the first son?” “I heard it from your brother, yes.” “All right, then. I want you to surround that jerk sister of mine with security and make sure nothing bad happens to her until she gets married, whenever that may be.” “Should I inform her?” “She is an ungrateful bastard, no need to say more. Be her shadow, protect her without letting on. I wouldn't want anyone to harm eve
The aunt took out her phone and dialed 112. She was a complete moron; did she think she was bluffing when she came here? She snatched the phone from the aunt's grasp and smashed it against the walk without even touching it. The aunt screamed, the uncle became concerned, and she smiled.“I told you that you would sign the forms one way or another. Should I put you in a death scenario to get you to do what I'm asking?”They thought she was still bluffing, so she suffocated the uncle, watching as he struggled to breathe, his eyes popping out like a toad, tears streaming down his cheeks. At that point, the aunt fell to her knees, sobbing and pleading for mercy.“We'll do anything; just let us live.”“You should have been cooperative from the start, and we wouldn't be making each other suffer right now,” she said as she walked away from the uncle. The ma
She walked in wearing white and baby pink. With a single glance, you could tell she was dressed to the nines from head to toe. When it came to this woman, the supermodels had no chance. Everyone turned to look at her as she walked hand in hand with that beautiful young lady in black for the last time, even though she was wearing blue instead of black. This time, the white witch's hair was adorned with pink diamonds, and the head chain covered most of her head, with some silver chains dangling on her hair that extended all the way down her back. She was decked out in matching pink diamond jewelry from head to toe. That white dress had pink diamonds embroidered on it in such an attentive manner in the front that it could catch anyone's eye, but that wasn't all there was to her dress. His breath was taken away by the back design, which reminded him of his mother. She enjoyed creating one-of-a-kind garments, and she always made his clothes before leavi
When he first saw her, he assumed she was unconcerned. Seeing her so self-assured even among those bodyguards, it appeared that everything was just right for her. When he first saw her at the hall during the engagement, he thought she was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen.Instead of focusing on the couples who were getting married, he was fixated on her throughout the ceremony. As a result, he inadvertently overheard the majority of their later conversation, which was mostly the white witch venting her rage at the Grant family. The identity of the mysterious sister was revealed as a result of that conversation. After all, the white witch was Samantha, but why were they calling her Violet? He could tell that every word Violet said was true based on how her family reacted when she made her statement. They didn't seem to care; it was as if they didn't consider her a member of the family. There was nothing wrong with her appearance; he liked it, despite the
An adjacent door led her to her own personal gym, which allowed her to see outside. At night, she could see the beautiful sky as well as any TV channel she wanted, as the gym had three TVs installed.Another adjacent door led to her bathroom, which had a twin bathtub and allows her to relax even while cleansing herself, and finally her closet, which took up the majority of the space.Half of her clothes were mostly white, while the other half housed her shoes, designer bags, and other accessories that did not include jewelry. Her jewelry collection, which included necklaces, bracelets, bangles, earrings, head chains, hair chains, chokers, watches, armlets, and anklets, was kept in the middle of the closet in glass boxes. She has an office in the mansion where she does the majority of her business, a personal library where she keeps all of her rare and unique book collection, a gallery where she stores and keeps all of her artwork, and her own personal swimming p
She couldn't help but laugh this time, and Anne assumed she meant it, so she was going to let her think that way for the time being.“I'm at a loss for words. Please assist me in getting out of the tub.”“But...”“All of a sudden, I feel like going out.”“Are you upset with me?”“How am I capable of doing something like that? That will undoubtedly be beneath me.”“Then why are you getting out of the bath so early?”“Let's just say the water went cold,” she said as she stepped out of the tub and froze the water.“Oh!” she couldn't say anything but assisted her in putting on her gown and escorted her back to her bedroom. She rummaged through her closet until she found what she needed.“Are you sure you want to wear that?” Anne wondered out loud.“Yes, I'd like to feel like a kid again today. So, I
Dylan was finishing up his assignment on a Saturday when he received an email from the company he had assigned to look into Rita and his mother a few days before. He was supposed to meet the boss at Heritage Club in two hours because there was an emergency, according to the email. When he went there for his case, he was surprised that they didn't bill him but instead told him that they would get back to him after making a few inquiries. He was about to meet the boss. Was all of this to imply that his case was a little complicated, or what? He planned to find out later when he went there. He finished his assignment and began preparing for his appointment.Knowing where Rita and his mother where was far more important than his current assignment. When he arrived at the club one and a half hours later, he gave the valet his Lamborghini Aventador S keys and a tip on top. He went to the reception desk, checked his name, and was led to one of the club's private
“I thought you'd never give that to me.”“I almost forgot.”“Let's get this party started. What is it that you want to know first?”“Rita.”“Okay. Rita has been secretly dating someone for two years, but in order to avoid being an unfaithful daughter, she began seeing you. Let's just say she doesn't love you and you don't love her. You don't love her, so I suppose there's nothing to be concerned about.”“How did you find out about that?”“Have you forgotten that I'm a witch?”“Stop laughing at me and tell me more.”“She is dating a poor guy, but don't worry, everything will be fine as long as you both make your position clear before things get out of hand.”“Are you also a fortune teller?”“Probably.”“Is that all her fault?”“Nothing significant; she i
