CHAPTER 16

When his mother left, he started scanning the room. It was packed with his photos, as if someone had been following him around his entire life. So she had been keeping an eye on him from afar!

He was relieved to learn that, and his bitterness began to fade. She didn't forget about him, which was the best thing that could have happened to him. It was like a belated birthday gift for him.

She returned to the room with two glasses of orange juice, which she set on the table before joining him.

“How are you doing?”

“I'll tell you everything."

“I'm listening, son.”

He never imagined it would be so much fun to narrate his life in that manner; he left out some details that would not be appropriate to tell a parent. It was, after all, his personal life. Throughout the story, his mother cried, laughed, and smiled, and by the end, he was drinking his mother's glass of juice.
