CHAPTER 21

The man was having financial difficulties, so she assisted him in obtaining funds and forming trustworthy allies; the same thing occurred during his presidential campaign. He was now in that office, and he was doing an excellent job. He entered the office and took the seat across from hers.

“I apologize for keeping you waiting.”

“It's fine. I heard you were interested in seeing me.”

“Yes, it is about the children.”

"How about them?"

“I heard you had a fight and won't be able to attend the wedding. Would you please come? The kids would not have met if it hadn't been for you.”

“That is possible. However, as we all know, everyone has their own destiny. I appreciate your candor, Sir, but I can't put on a happy face at a wedding when I'm accused of attempting to steal your son. He may be special to her, but not to me. What does it matter if I attend or not?”
