DINNER DATE
Recap/ hi!! I am boma hart, there are a few things you know or maybe forgot, mom stranger sets to be a charm of good luck to me, Brandon actually, and now, it seems he wants something more, I think it's time to forget my past and move on/ ( smiles)
( The following morning)
Initially, the sound of my alarm clock gets me up from bed, but this time, a call from a just made friend, Brandon, got me donning a wide smile.
"Hello, Brandon" I answered through the phone.
"How are you, good morning!! Hope I didn't wake up?". He says at the other end.
Mins the fact he did wake me up, I figured acting all shy and happy, would end this conversation into a good morning start.
"No, you didn't, I was actually up from bed before your call came through". ( A white lie)
"Oh that's good and please, I'll like to ask for your permission". ( He adds up his words to me)
"What kind of permission?" I asked and met myself smiling nonstop, so he says, "I was hoping, to take you for dinner this evening, I know it's too soon but please don't say no".
Brandon's gentle approach made me accepting his request, even though, I do know that it's quite too soon for a dinner date, but I found myself saying yes!! To his request.
( Inaudible conversation)
Thereafter, I got dressed and drove to the office, my assistant, Jude welcome me, while I smiled, and walked into my office to meet a familiar face seated waiting for me.
"Scotty, what are you doing here?". I frown and have Jude hiding his eyes afar from me.
"Aww, it's been long, someone called me that!! You still remember". Scott maintained the exact seated position and idling to see how I react to it.
It's been a long drive and apart from that, I found myself going out with a gentleman, Scott will not be the one to spoil my day.
"What do you want Scott or better still, why are you here, I thought, your appointment was slated three days from now".
(Took my bosses seat and watched him smiling)
I added to my words, " why are you smiling?".
"Nothing, I just had a flashback about the times we were together and went to that music festival at San Jose".
Did Scott leave his home to come to reminisce about our past life together, or is he just trying to be corky? ( That's my head talking)
"Excuse me, Boma, are you listening to me?". He regained my attention over to himself.
"Yes, I am, but tell me, why are you telling me this, did you perhaps leave your home to reminisce?". ( Growled at his behavior)
"No, on the contrary, I was hoping you would come with me to San Diego, I have two tickets to our favorite k pop band!!! EXO ".
As tempting as that might sound, I cannot possibly ditch Brandon and leave with my ex, which might end up disastrous at the end of the music fest.
"Scott, I would have loved to come but, I have a dinner date, with someone by seven in the evening".
"Who?" Scott addressed his question, in a haste.
"He's a friend and please don't go telling me the sappy tale of the wrong date". ( Smirks, while tugging my hair behind my ears)
"Nah, I won't and I promise not to be the one to spoil your dinner date, but tell me, what does he look like, Is he cuter than I?. ( Eyes locked as this chapter ends)
