Sophie.

I instantly leaped, out the stage as the realization of it all dawned on me, and before Regnolds could realise what was happening it was already too late as he had poured the water on the spot were I was. The ground instantly burning in liquid, as it broke and the pogent scent of strong acid filled the air.

I flinched like wise the crowd, that would have been me if I wasn't fast enough to put the pieces together.

"What the fuck!". Regnolds growled pretending to be shocked, but I know is all an act.

"How did acid even get here, didn't you know it was acid, and a very strong one at that, were you trying to get the Luna killed".

He yelled at Louis who looked Just as confused as the rest of the crowd.

"I swear someone swapped the bucket. I don't know...

I don't listen in on their conversation again as my eyes darted around for any sign of Reece or Ryker, but there was none.

I instantly tried mindlinking Reece to let him know the Shapeshifter demon was here, I couldn't possibly be mistaken, this heart to be him. But unfortunately for me, Reece closed our mindlinked and the mindlink refused to go.

Panic instantly seemed in my chest, what do I even do. I had to raise alarm we had to kill this monster. But how do I even convince everyone about that, I didn't know but I had to do this.

"Everyone listen, this man standing right here?". I shift my attention from the crowd back to the stage to point my fingers directly at Regnolds but he is no longer on stage. Fuck, where did he go and where.

The crowd starres at me in dead silent. "Where is Regnolds, we need to find him, we need to search for him so he could continue the rituals". I growled defeated, he had already escaped and probably taken the form of someone else. How didn't I even recognize him earlier on. Fuck I hope Reece and Ryker were both save.

"The Luna is right, we should all split and go in search of him". My pack Alpha spat, as I shook my head that wasn't a good suggestion anymore, we weren't supposed to split but be together, so that way he won't be able to lay an attack on us.

"The Alpha just mindlinked me, we should all hold on". I lied, as my anxiety raised to the highest decree. I felt so weak and vulnerable, more than I had ever felt in my life. The Shapeshifter demon was trouble, and wanted to kill me without even leaving litte as a suspicion on himself.

This wasn't normally the way he killed so why try to kill me this way, I wouldn't say because this was his only opportunity to see me, as he had entered my room two times in the past, that's if there weren't other times I wasn't aware of. Suddenly a different kind of nervousness hugged my chest, the Shapeshifter demon could take the form of everyone even a friend and I wouldn't know, if I wasn't paying close attention today I would have never knew.

I think back to his letters, he knew who I was so why not expose me or strike a deal with me to remain quite or even threaten me. On the contrary, he kind of did during my last Luna Ceremony, when he sent that paper stating I should watch my back.

I really hard to be careful and not just watch my back, but that of my family for all I knew, him killing Lucas, might not have been an accident or simply because he killed all other watchers guarding the Blue Moon Pack boundary. He might have been passing a message to me, it all depended on how I wanted to look and it, and right now I wanted to believe he had his eyes on me for reasons I couldn't tell, and it was necessary I watched my back to avoid being sorry for myself.

"Please Luna stop this. Don't let them do this to me, I swear I'm innocent". Louis voice broke out from the stage capturing my attention. I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't even noticed when some of the warriors climbed up the stage and chained him like a mere criminal.

"Release him immediately". I growled.

"I'm sorry Luna, but we can't he is a traitor and tried to kill you, he had once tried to betray the pack and was forgiven, but not this time". Jeremy the head warrior growled as Louis shuddered.

"Please release me I swell I didn't swap the bucket, I was framed on both occasions, besides why would I ever want to kill the Luna". He whimpered,his tears rolling off his eyes, and even though didn't know what his previous crime was I knew the man was innocent.

"I said release him immediately. Do you they disobey your Luna and still hesitate". I snarled, watching Louis broken state. Apart from the fact that he was innocent, he was an elder an old enough to be our father he didn't deserve to be tossed about or slapped roughly by the warriors the way they did.

"I'm sorry, but until your Luna Ceremony had been conducted, you can't take up the role of Luna, and I only take orders from the Alpha, he had mindlinked me to chainthe traitor after I mindlinked him of how the traitor tried to kill you".

Jeremy growled, as my features tightened, and the only thing I could deduce from his sentence was the fact that Reece had left his mindlinked open, but closed mine, was that how terribly I distasted him, he didn't even want me mindlinking him.
