CHAPTER FOUR
Reece. It was one hour past the original time for the mating ball and despite the fact that the halls where filled with Alpha's from various packs, as well as their Luna's and Beta's, the ball had yet to begin. Only my presence had the surging power to begin the event. The entire crowd goes on their knees and bow their heads to the ground the moment Ryker and I steps into the hall. No one dares to raise their heads as I amble the long mable floor. Once I reach my seat on a raised platform at the end of the hall, I raise my hands and the entire crowd rise. "Welcome to yet another Mating ball. I know this mating ball is quite prompt considering we just had one three days ago, so I really appreciate all those who made out time to travel from their various packs just to be here. The reason for this ball is so I can meet with a female I saw three days ago at the last mating ball. If your the female I want you to come up after now and identify yourself. You will be expected to state the details of our conversation that day, so I can confirm if your truly the one or not". After my long speech, the crowd breaks in loud squeal and excitement. A cluster of ladies navigate through the crowd of wolves. They make their way towards the raised stage I occupy and bow their heads in respect. They are all unfamiliar scents, non of which my wolf nor I recognises. "Rise". I roar in my Alpha voice and they all rise, but non attempts starring at my eyes, their eyes remained fixated to the ground. "Your majesty, I am the lady you seek, remember how I made you smile and how you said I was the most beautiful she wolf you've ever seen". A wolf from their midst takes up courage to spit and I stare at her, resisting the urge to rip her throat. I knew the female I seek wasn't here, I could have detected her enticing scent of Jasmine and lavender if she were. "Greetings Alpha, I am the female from the last ball, remember how you saw me alone and asked if I needed a drink". Another spits and the others becomes bold, as they all begin spitting blaspheming claims simultaneously. "you bought two sex on the beach for us, and kept buying more drinks for yourself, I assume you probably got drunk that's why you can't remember anything from the last mating ball, but I swear is me your majesty". Another one spits and that seems to be the last straw that breaks the Carmels back. "Enough". Kyla, my wolf yells in rage, with an undoubted air of authority that causes every wolf present to flinch in panic and shift their full focus to me. "I know non of you is the female I seek only a bunch of blaspheming desperate unmated she wolves and we all know the consequences for blasphemy is death, so move now before I rip your heads out of it's socket ". Kyla roars with so much authority and anger. The females begin to quiver and make way, while a few whisper 'am sorry your highness'. Unphased by the piercing stares of all the wolves present, I make my way out of the ball and unto the pathway that leads to my personal garden. I just needed air and some time alone and only the garden had such calming power. Ambling slowly into the garden. The intoxicating yet calming scent of Jasmine and lavender envelopes my nostrils, is a scent I will do recognise anywhere, the one reason for this ball. I keep sniffing in to get enough of the scent, but I still can't get enough. I let my eyes freely roam the garden till I spot her. Her fragile frame seats on one of the wooden chairs in the garden, she seems deep in thoughts and has her back facing me. I quickly swallow the lump rising in my throat. My hands becomes moist. Unable to reach for the handkerchief in my pocket. I wipe both hands on my pants. Except for my ragged breathing and heavy thudding of my heart in my chest, the only sounds that can be heard are the chipping of birds. I feel my Adam apple jerk up and I growl lowly. Fuck, a female isn't supposed to have such an effect on me. Kyla keeps jumping and howling in my head, he was at edge now, he will be more than willing to come out if I let him. Her gentle countenance proves that she doesn't notice my presence behind her. Unable to get enough of the sweet scent. I let my hands grip her waist firmly and tilt my head to the crook of her neck. I feel her shudder at my strong hold and that makes me only desire her more. I lean closer to her, while sniffing her neck to get enough of her scent, the scent that drives me crazy and makes me question my sanity. She quivers a little "Your....What....How..." "Just breathe". I whisper huskily to her and she nods in response. "So what's with you and sneaking out of ball parties, I thought the reason people come for mating ceremonies is to find their chosen mate". I mumble with some what humor and I feel her become stiff. "Maybe the reason I sneak out is because I know he isn't in there and no matter what happens we will still end up alone before the ball comes to an end". She blurts in almost a whisper. Her voice was like soothing music to me. "I love your boldness" "I need you to turn around, I want to see your face". I mumble in a hoarse whisper and carefully free my tight grip on her waist. She slowly turns around and before I can process her features, she captures my lips in an urgent kiss. I guess this is becoming a thing for us now. Unlike our first kiss, this one was less than eloquent, her teeth had knocked into mine, it was painful and I heard her grimace in between kisses, but she just wouldn't give up. I slowly push her away from me, I needed to see her face so things wouldn't end up like last time. She slowly falls on the ground. She has a raven black hair that falls flat across her face, she's dressed so simple in a green flower printed gown that's inches above her knee. Green looks so good on her soft milky skin, I think green is actually her colour. "Unveil your face". I demand, whilst staring intently at her fragile frame. She doesn't bulge, she remains fixated on the spot. No one has ever gone against my orders before except this one, she truly is unspeakable. "I said unveil your face". I yell in a loud baritone voice, my alpha tone attempting to take over. She places a hand on the grass beside her. For a split second I felt she was about to tilt her neck in submission, but instead she caught me off guard by standing abruptly and running towards the pathway leading out of the garden. 'Not this time'. Kyla my wolf growls and I immediately chase after her. "Stop. Stop now" Kyla roars in an authoritative voice, but that only seemed to be her motivation to run faster. 'She is a pretty fast runner' Kyla remarks with somewhat humor, a thick contrast to the horrible scene before us. Normally I would have catch up with her, because am one of the fastest runners in my pack, but the fact that there's still a reasonable gap between us proves how fast of a runner she is. She keeps running till she's out of the pathway and into the open building. She stops abruptly and begins scanning the surroundings. Am just a few inches away from her, that I can hear her ragged breathing, just one more step and I will reach her. I will make sure she never leaves this time, I will do everything in my power to keep her, even if it means bundling and tying her down. "Sophie". A girl from the car that just speed in screams and I watch her speed off to the direction of the open car door. "Stop right now" I growl in my alpha tone and a few wolves bow in submission, but not this particular wolf, she keeps running till she's inside the car. I reach the car, just at the exact moment the door slams shut and the car speeds off. "Fuck" I groan outwardly "Both of you get a car and chase after that car". I roar at the two guards by the gate and they both amble into a car and speed off. "Ryker, tell the watchers mounting the Pack borders to close the border and make sure no one leaves the pack land". I mindlink my beta and shift my attention to the nosey crowd around. "Everyone go home, party is over". Kyla growls in obvious rage that matches mine. I can't believe she ran away again, but atleast this time I got the name. I will make sure I find her and when I do she's never running again.CHAPTER ONE Sophie EvergreenStanding before the tall silvery mirror in my room, I starred at my reflection. A white flowing see-through gown that clung to my curvy frame, revealing my plump breasts and nipples, as well as my smooth nether regions, save for the black thong I wore underneath. Long raven hair packed in a neat bun. A full and flawless make-up. This was the first time I had ever dressed so provocatively, I could barely recognize myself. My congested room was dropped silent, save for the loud hammering of my heart in my chest. 'Is this really worth it', I pondered. Drifting to the clustered clothes on my bed, I stretch my hands for a lilac scarf that's twisted with a navy blue tie. I gently free the scarf from the tight grip of the tie. I coil the soft fabric securely around my upper body in an attempt to conceal my breasts.Tonight was the night that will either change my fate forever or seriously disappoint me. As werewolves we believe in fated mates and choosen mates.
CHAPTER TWO Recee Is been three days and I still haven't been able to get her out of my head, as a matter of fact I've been fantasying about her by day and dreaming about her by night, and the worst part of it all is that my wolf Kyla is also obsessed about her. What's so special about her, I've thought, but found nothing. She's only but another cheap she wolf who would go any height to get the attention of a male, especially one of high ranking, large wallet and power. She probably doesn't even care if the wolf in question is a psychopath or sociopath, all what matters to her is that his of high ranking, large wallet and power. I have met alot of wolves like her in the past and I never even spared them a thought, so why is it so hard to get this particular she wolf out of my head.Maybe because her face was hidden in the darkness and I didn't even get her name. Yes that should be it. "Hey Reece, what's up, you seem stressed". Ryker my beta askes as he sits on the chair opposite m
CHAPTER THREE Sophie Evergreen "I hope you find your perfect match this time". Aurora mumbles, leaning into me with a makeup brush and foundation. "Am just tired Aurora, if I don't get mated today, am done". Aurora muffled laugh fills the congested room and I quickly shoot her a questioning glare. "That's what you always say, but you never really give up and well I seem more enthusiastic about today than the last mating ball, maybe because I know you will find your prince charming today". Aurora mumbles with a glint in her eyes. Stretching her right hand to her open make-up bag, she pulls out two eye liners and stare at them like is her first time of seeing such. "Why can't I just decide on one". She mumbles to herself, whilst still starring at the eyeliners, unable to make a decision. After a fruitful second she shifts her gaze to me and stretches the green eyeliner towards me. "Green is your colour Sophie". She says more like a statement. "I don't want anything too seriou
