Chapter 3

The vampire king, Trevor, brings Celestine to his huge mansion. The Manchester mansion was still there after fifty years and it was managed by his butler, Dizon. His butler maintains na cleanliness of his mansion because he knows that one day Trevor will come back. And what Dizon hopes happened because his king is now awake from a long sleep. 

"I can't believe that you are standing before me, my king. I didn't lose hope that one day you will rise again and reclaim your throne as the vampire king," Dizon said tearfully after he saw his king standing in front of the door's mansion. 

Dizon is also a vampire but he chose not to drink human blood instead he substitutes animal blood to quench his thirst for human blood. When his king falls into a deep sleep he promised that he will not drink human blood until his king won't wakes up. It was his punishment for himself for not being able to help his king when the last witch put a powerful curse on him.

"I'm glad you still recognized me as your king, Dizon. And I am also happy to see you," Trevor replied. He walks to get inside his house and lay down Celestine inside an elegant room. Then he leaves her still unconscious and talks with Dizon who still thinks that he was just having a hallucination.

"Is this real, my king? Are you really awake?" Dizon couldn't help but ask.

Trevor gives a smile to his loyal servant. "Do you want me to prove that I am real? You're already old but I'm sure your neck was still soft."

"Oh no, my king. I do believe now that you're alive and kicking," Dizon quickly replied. "You haven't changed even a little bit, my king. It's been fifty years since you fall asleep but you're still as handsome as before."

"I know that. Even you, Dizon.  You still haven't changed after fifty years. You're still the talkative butler that I know," Trevor replied. He stretches his neck and arms and then his eyes scan every corner of his mansion. "I slept for fifty years and I noticed that technology developed rapidly."

"Yes, my king. You have lots of new things to learn in this new era. But I know you will learn them easily. By the way, my king. Now that you're awake, what are you planning to do now? And who is that young lady with you? Are you going to taste her blood as your welcoming gift?"

"No and yes," Trevor replied quickly. "I need to clarify something that's why I haven't killed her but she will become my welcoming gift as you say after I'm done with her."

"Okay, my king. Now, I will excuse myself and I will go to prepare a feast for you. I know you're hungry and thirsty now," Dizon said to Trevor. Then he left his king to prepare a welcome party for his return. He will call all the loyal vampire followers of the vampire king.

After Dizon prepares some food and fresh human blood that he obtain from the hospital where one of Trevor's loyal followers is working as a nurse he immediately called all the other loyal followers of his king. Everyone was happy when they heard good news from Dizon. One by one, the wide living room was full of vampires.

"We are happy that you finally woke up, our king!" Santi, of the loyal followers of Trevor, greeted him. He lifted a wine glass contains with fresh human blood. "Let's all cheer for the rise of our King Trevor!"

"Cheers!" all of the vampire visitors shouted as they made a sound of their glass by bumping slightly into another wine glass. All of them are happy that their king is finally awake. 

Trevor lifted his hand in the air to stop his followers from making noise. "Thank you all for coming and celebrating my welcome party. Let's enjoy now because later we have serious things to talk about," he said then he brings his wine glass into his mouth and drink the human blood. Trevor licked the side of his lips that has some blood on it. It's been fifty years since the last time he drank human blood. And human blood is very tasty. It easily quenches the thirst that he felt for very long years. Now that he was awake, he will find the old witch who gave him that curse. He will let that witch taste his revenge. He will dry that witch's blood and savor every drop of it to compensate for what she did to him.

Meanwhile, inside the elegant room, Celestine suddenly opens her eyes. Her eyes widely opened when she realized that she was not inside her room. Then a flashback of what happened before she passed out entered her mind. A vampire shows up in front of her. A vampire manages to get in their house despite that they have big dogs as their guards so they will know once there is someone inside their yard.

Celestine quickly stands up when she remembers the vampire. Her mind was telling her that she was inside that vampire's house because he was the last person that she saw before she fainted. She immediately runs to the door to escape but when she opened the door she almost pees in her underwear when the vampire that she saw inside their house was standing behind the closed door and staring at her intently. A scream comes out of her lungs and falls to her knees because of extreme fear.

"W-What do you w-want from me? W-Why did y-you bring me h-here?" Celestine stuttered while asking. This is the first time that she saw a vampire up close and in person. What the book said about a vampire having good looks is true. Because the vampire in front of her is dashingly handsome. His face was every woman's dream of their boyfriend. But no matter how handsome he is, to Celestine, he was still a vampire who is merciless when it comes to killing people. What's the use of your beauty or handsomeness if you don't just benefit from it, instead they will benefit from you because they will drink your blood.

"You are a welcome gift for me," Trevor answered Celestine. "And also a woman wants me to kill you." He walks faster to reach her and then he was about to bite her neck when another vision of them suddenly appeared. A vision of them happily hugging each other with their kids in a place full of flowers. Trevor stops her plan of killing her. He couldn't understand why he can't bear to kill her.

"Please, don't kill me. I will do anything that you want just don't kill me," Celestine begged for her life. She doesn't want to die. She wants to stay with her dad, Tom, and cousin for a long time. Her body was trembling in tears. Why is it that she was unlucky and she met a vampire? But inside their house? Who lets him in that night?

"Really? You're going to do what I want?" Trevor asked Celestine in a low voice. Without a choice, Celestine was forced to agree. "Then be my slave!" Trevor shouted and then a smile forms on his lips. A smile that could melt every woman's heart. But not with Celestine. Because what she felt for him now is terror.
