Shannon’s POV

The brothers, with some defiance, now seemed awake, caught off guard by the unexpected return of Robin and mom. They exchanged uneasy glances, the weight of their actions clear in the air.

“What is going on here?” Robin’s voice echoed a second time.

“Who cares? It was a party. Lighten up.” Selena’s voice sounded from the corner of the room where she had crept back into.

“What? And who the hell are you?” Robin turned to Selena.

“Dad relax, it’s not a big deal. We just had a little fun.” Ricky answered.

“Yeah, Dad, it’s no big deal.” Jules nodded in agreement as he tried to wake the naked girl beside him.

“Fun? This is what you call fun? Unbelievable!” Robin exclaimed.

“We’re just enjoying ourselves, Dad.” Cole then said with a smirk on his face.

Robin continued, his voice cutting through the expansive room. “So this is how you live and call it fun? I won’t tolerate such behavior under my roof. Explain yourselves this moment!” he roared.

After the moment with mom in the kitchen, I retreated to my room. The routine of getting ready for school had become an automatic process, each action a distraction from the uncertainty that awaited me beyond my doorstep.A quick brushing of my teeth, a warm shower, and the rustling of clothes followed. The face of everything being fine that I had to maintain for the outside world felt like a stupid mask. With my schoolbag slung over my shoulder, I was ready to face another day at school. Yet, the small container in my hand, containing the mysterious potion I’d been made to take since childhood, made me to pause. The liquid held both a familiarity and a mystery. As I popped the container open and allowed the liquid to flow into my mouth, the taste triggered a series of questions. Why have I been taking this portion every single day of my life? What secrets did it hold? Mom’s insi

The thought of presenting ourselves to the entire pack, officially entering this new chapter, made my heart race with uncertainty.Returning home, I found my thoughts tangled in nervous anticipation. Mom noticed the trouble on my face as I entered the living room, a space that seemed to tighten my unease.“Shannon, darling, what’s bothering you?” Mom asked, concern in her voice as she set aside her book, giving me her full attention.I hesitated, unsure how to handle the rush of emotions threatening to spill over. “Mom, it’s just… the mating ceremony with Brendan. I can’t shake off this feeling of nervousness. What if something goes wrong?”Mom, always a pillar of support, smiled reassuringly. “Sweetheart, it’s natural to feel nervous before such an important event. My wolf, usually subdued, now seemed to stir with an intensity that was alarming. As the hours passed, I noticed an never-seen clarity in my perceptions—every scent, every sound, and every detail of the world around me became vivid. It was as though a veil had been lifted, revealing a sensitivity that definitely extended human experience. The most surprising revelation was the shift in my perception of the triplets. Once seen as my tormentors, my wolf now regarded them differently. Their scents, once sources of fear and panic, now carried a certain allure. Shannon’s POVWith my hands above my head, I opened my mouth widely, yawning as if I had been engaged in an exhausting chore, meanwhile I was just waking up from an eight hour night’s rest. “Today is going to be a good day.” I affirmed, climbing down from bed. The bathroom was my destination, but for reasons best known to me, I returned to my bed. For the next few minutes, I remained in one position, my hands crossed on my chest with my gaze fixed on the door. I was trying to come up with ideas on how to make my day less boring but I couldn’t come up with any. “I will just sit back and watch as the day goes.” I muttered. Just as I was about to rise, my door flung open and Ricky walked in. “You should have knocked.” I muttered, avoiding his cold gaze. “What did you just say?” He asked, closing in on me. “Nothing.” I replied, this time around, my voice was loud and firm, though I was still avoiding his gaze. The room suddenly went silent after my response. The day was still young

Shannon’s POV Certainly, Ricky wasn’t bluffing, whenever he said a word, he always followed it until the end even if it was going to cause him to spill blood. Even if I wanted to make him feel the same way I feel whenever they bring Selena home, I will have to find another option. It would be wicked of me to risk someone’s life just to get him jealous. Besides, I was only bluffing, had no other guys to bring in, every guy I know hated and looked down on me.“Where have you been pretty? I checked your room and everywhere you always visit but I didn’t find you.” Jules said with a merry tone, snapping me from my revive. “I went out.” I replied, flashing a coy smile at him. “Really? And you couldn’t tell me?” “I’m sorry. Excuse me.” I said then turned around to leave. For the rest of the day, Ricky’s words continued to ring in my head, hence making me uncomfortable. I even tried to get a nap in a bid to forget about it, but I woke up with the thought still on my mind. At this point

This was the second time I was trying to detach Leila’s pictures from the album, but I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. Each day, she texted me repeatedly, telling me she was remorseful for her action and wished she could turn back the hands of the clock. At some point, I wanted to forgive her because I had become extremely lonely, but each time I remembered the scene, my loneliness become replaced with anger. “Hey, take a look at yourself.” Cole said, pushing a paper into my hand. “What? How did you… how long have you been here?” I asked, admiring the sketch he had handed to me. “About half an hour now. I thought you saw me staring.” He chuckled, lowering himself on the spot beside me. “I didn’t. Oh my goodness, I never knew you were this good.” I grinned, still gushing at the sketch in my hands. “Thank you.” He replied. After what seems like forever, I folded the pape

Shannon’s POVI stormed into the castle, my heart pounding in my chest. The situation with Matthew had left me unsettled, and I know I had to find a way to make Jules listen to my warnings about him.As I entered the main hall, my eyes immediately fell on Michael, playing innocently with a toy on the floor. Beside him stood Matthew, the man I found so suspicious. My instincts screamed at me to grab Michael and run, but I forced myself to stay calm. I hurried over to my son, scooping him up into my arms protectively. Michael grinned up at me, holding out the toy he had been playing with.I turned to face Matthew, my expression hard and suspicious. “What are you doing here?” I demanded, my voice laced with tension.Matthew blinked in surprise, taken aback by my abruptness. “I came to see Jules,” he replied, gesturing vaguely. “One of the maids told me to wait here, and I saw Michael, so I thought I’d keep him company.”My grip on Michael tightened, my protective instincts in overdrive.

Shannon’s POV.The next day Jules and I moved into the pack house. It was still so surreal to me that I was an Alpha.Jules was almost completely healed now and he kept talking about how it was all because of his training yesterday. I mentioned to him that it was probably because of the training he’s still not properly healed yet but he just laughed in my face.As soon as we arrived in the pack house, we were welcomed by the slaves. They were all lined up in the living room in a straight line dressed in black and whiteThey had to be at least fifty to a hundred of them. What on earth did we need so many slaves for?I wondered as I scanned their faces.I glanced over at Jukes who seemed a little too confident. I wish I had his confidence. It seemed like he was used to it, unlike me.“These are the palace slaves, they are always at your service, They all have been assigned different stations. You will eventually get used to them but for now, these are the most important faces you will
