Chapter Twenty Nine

Shannon’s POV

Certainly, Ricky wasn’t bluffing, whenever he said a word, he always followed it until the end even if it was going to cause him to spill blood.

Even if I wanted to make him feel the same way I feel whenever they bring Selena home, I will have to find another option. It would be wicked of me to risk someone’s life just to get him jealous. Besides, I was only bluffing, had no other guys to bring in, every guy I know hated and looked down on me.

“Where have you been pretty? I checked your room and everywhere you always visit but I didn’t find you.” Jules said with a merry tone, snapping me from my revive.

“I went out.” I replied, flashing a coy smile at him.

“Really? And you couldn’t tell me?”

“I’m sorry. Excuse me.” I said then turned around to leave.

For the rest of the day, Ricky’s words continued to ring in my head, hence making me uncomfortable. I even tried to get a nap in a bid to forget about it, but I woke up with the thought still on my mind.
