Chapter Four
Four days had gone by with me trying my best to be mad at everybody, but you just know the stage I was in. Keeping my mouth shut was never an easy thing, especially to mom. I spent most of my time with my grandfather in the backyard. His stories were always amusing. I was fed up with staying there in the rurals, but what could I do, whatever mom said, was final. After all, we had come for the Christmas celebrations and it was like a week to the day. I had not even thought of Sam. He always came to look for me immediately when he took his breakfast, but that day he had not come yet. So that afternoon I sought to go look for him. Staying indoors was hectic, I wondered how grandpa managed to do so the whole day, all week. Sam's family had built their home just a few metres from the main compound, only that if you wanted to go there you had to go through the main gate then go around the compound. There was a tiny path leading to their home, much like a footpath.
Because I didn't want anyone to call me, I strode very fast to the gate to escape them. Grandma always wanted to know where everyone was going. I don't mean to sound disrespectful but man, she had her nose on everybody else's business. Immediately I was out of the compound I began walking normally, singing some song I can't even recall well right now. My mind was consumed by thoughts that I didn't pay much attention to what was happening around me. It was the strange sounds that brought me to my senses. The path seemed to be getting consumed by some strange light. The bushes around me came to a strong standstill, no swaying, no nothing. Like a bad dream, a strangely looking creature came out of the other end of the path where the blue light was coming from and shot some flashing light from his chest towards me and before it could get to me some short guy came out of nowhere and raised his elbow high just in front of me, and just like that a transparent shield deflected the ray back to that creature and with a growl, it disappeared together with the strange light. The dream, wow. I just stood there, unable to do anything or say anything. I just stared into the eyes of the guy, the three-eyed guy that I had been seeing in my dreams some days back.
"Well, aren't you going to say something?"
I tried opening my mouth but nothing came out. The guy snapped his fingers and just like that we were somewhere else. The place I was in seemed familiar. I couldn't tell why but I felt like I had been there before. There were so many of them dressed like him, wait was it even a him? Tiny creatures dressed like ninjas or something. They looked cute. All of a sudden another one came but before he could get to the bed I was lying in, he was stopped.
"He is in shock, he can't talk right now. Please let him rest first."
"Where is the other one?"
"I've sent for him, he should be here in a short while."

*Two days earlier*
Sam came to my place just as I was being sent to the shop to buy bread. He seemed excited about something so I just knew there was some amazing thing he was dying to tell me.
"Junior, you remember the other day at the field when you left for home," I nodded. " So I went home to ask Kevin to give me some coins for sweets and the strangest thing happened. It was like I could hear his thoughts, I know it sounds rather crazy but I did. Like before he handed me the coins, he was like, ' I should go to the disco tonight,' I thought he was talking to me so I told him that dad would never like that idea. He asked what I was talking about and I thought he was trying to confuse me. I could hear him say, 'this boy, so you were eavesdropping.' Still thinking that he was addressing me I again responded to that too. 'How did you know what I was thinking,' he asked but just handed me the coin and went his way. Now Junior,I think I have powers. I can even hear what you are thinking right now. It's about wanting to go back to the city right?"
Wow, he was right. So, I also narrated what had happened to me too. We needed answers but who could we turn to. It felt like we were somewhat living in a dream. We just made stories till we got home. We thought maybe it was just some coincidence or just our imaginations.
********************
I woke from a very deep slumber. God! What was with me and sleep? I was mad at myself for falling asleep at such a time and in a place I didn't know, even though I felt like I knew it.
"Where am I, I want to go home," I began shouting.
"Hello Junior, there's no need to panic." It was the three-eyed guy, only that time he was wearing a white robe with a mask. He had a very deep voice.
"I don't know if you remember me, but of course you shouldn't."
I just stared at him, unable to say anything.
He introduced himself to me and after a very lengthy conversation I learnt that he was the leader of the group he called 'the Rebel'; That their planet had been taken over by The Force, a group that overthrew the government, killed almost everyone of them with supernatural abilities that refused to work for them and enslaved other citizens. The Rebel was formed to identify those with powers and bring them such that when their numbers grew big they would rise up against the Force and reclaim their land.
"Back at Myozola, those with powers were free to go to the Moka, the wells to drink freely and have their powers boosted but the Force destroyed hundreds of those wells and left just a few guarded, for those that agreed to work for them. We were doing research and that's how we came up with the fruits. It was to make us stronger even without having to drink from Moka," explained Koyala. He then proceeded," Now, the Force would never send its soldiers after you unless you are a potential threat to them. So we brought you here to run some tests on you. We believe you may be having some infection called.."
"Wow, what do you mean infection,"I interrupted.
"An infection called Doing-The-Impossible. I asked that you be monitored, but I didn't think it would be a permanent issue. Now, because of what just happened,I sent for you two here." Addressing the female Myozolan, "Where is the other one?"
"He should be here in a short while," she replied, her voice tense.
Just then, two ninja-like Rebel soldiers merged in and with their faces down, addressed Koyala in trembling voices.
"What? Do I have to do everything here by myself?" He said some things that I couldn't really understand then just like that everyone started moving and gathering stuff around; weapons.
"Junior, stay here. They have Sam."
"But I.."
"I said stay here!" He commanded with his eyes turning red, literally red. I could tell he was angry so I just obliged and with a snap of his fingers, they were gone.
Chapter Five*In Myozola*Koyala and his team teleported to an abandoned building. It used to be their headquarters before they were forced to move out when the Force's soldiers kept on ambushing them."I can't imagine this used to be a fortress, a place where everyone knew they would be safe. Now look at how it is," said Maya. Maya's mother was a healer and had been taken captive by the Force. She hadn't heard from her for a very long time. She didn't even think she would be alive. The place brought back bad memories and Koyala understood, so he just went over to her and assured her that it would be over soon."Kralis, contact Kran. We need

Sam was already awake and with Koyala in his office discussing whatever it was they were discussing. I had gone to the room Maya was in to check on her. Steel was bad for their health as it poisoned their blood making it clot. The team doctors had worked tirelessly on her not to lose her. She was Koyala's favorite and everything had to be done to keep her alive for him. Koyala had watched the whole operation from scratch till it came to an end. He just stared into the room through the glass wall. He was afraid she would not make it. There was a point her heart stopped beating and he

Chapter SevenI kept on imagining all the food I was to eat, and I'm sorry if I always think about food but it's a stage, just understand me. We had been promised that we would be taken swimming too in town, at the prestigious Jumia Hotel. Wendy was excited about the idea. She even bought herself a pair of swimming costumes and put it next to her bed, just in case someone tried to steal it. I woke up early the next morning despite having gone to bed late. I needed to prepare on time. I had not not even a second to lose. I went and switched on the television. They aired cool movies and animations on Christmas days and I was not willing to miss that year's.Mom got up and started cleaning the house as Aunt Faiza washed the dishes and prepared breakfast. Grandma went to check on her poultry as grandfather was still sleeping. It was going to be a great day indeed. Mustafa
IChapter One"Junior, get up! How many times do I have to shout at you just to wake you up?" my mother shouted from the living room. I never quite got enough sleep last night despite having gone to bed early. I think we, growing kids, need more time to sleep than anyone else. Sensing the anger in her voice I forcibly got myself up, though my eyelids refused to open at first no matter how hard I tried. Then all over sudden it struck me. Damn,I was late for school. Not again! I quickly got into my uniforms and without much hesitation rushed down for breakfast only to find my mother staring at me in a rather displeased way."Come on, really, why do you have that one on?""I'm late for school Mama, you didn't wake me up on time," I accused.
Chapter TwoOf all the friends that Sam had me introduced to, I particularly had a liking for Felix. He was unique in a way and we seemed to share the same interests, like the love for superheroes, most specifically the Superman guy. Eventually, we got bored of playing soccer and some of the kids we were playing with headed to their homes. It was too early for us to go home, so we decided to play Hide and Seek afterwards, a game in which you hide and someone has to find out where you are. It was only the three of us, Sam, Felix and I. You know how the kids back in the rurals are always controlled by the city kids? Well, Felix and I hid and I made Sam look for us. After struggling, he finally found us. It was then Felix's turn. We got into the bush to hide with Sam. I found a perfect spot but Sam seemed to have been attracted to the same spot so I moved to the next bush. Chapter Three"Can somebody please turn off the lights! God, why is it so bright in here? And what is that beeping sound, mom? Can't I just sleep peacefully, please," I complained. The room I was in was all bright and I could sense movements all around me. There was one bright light right on top of my face, as I was lying with my front side facing upwards. I assumed it was our room at grandma's place. The place seemed busier than grandma's house. I tried getting out of bed but I could not. I could feel neither of my limbs no matter how much I struggled."Take it easy, it is alright," came a voice out of nowhere."Who is there and where is grandpa?"
