DRACO’S POV Ever since Prince Klaux came back to the palace, Helena had been all smiles. I didn’t expect him to just forget and forgive what happened to our parents easily, like that, but given how free and pure he was, he never blamed Helena for the sins of her parents and instead accepted her as if nothing ever happened. How he was able to put that past him was still a mystery because he was the one that almost died with our parents during that time. He almost cried his eyeballs out, he kept fainting and waking up for days and I was scared that he might actually die. Seeing him behave like this made me think about how I should just have let him die back then. “He’s a nutcase, I just cannot get what is going on in his head” I muttered to myself as I was strolling through the palace the next morning after the general breakfast only to look up and check what was going on because the palace was so loud. It was Prince Klaux! He was driving around the new car Helena got him and screec
The elder of the eight tribe, Damon, was fully dressed up for the Alpha’s birthday party when one of his servants rushed in to inform him about the arrival of his goods. Since the eighth tribe were known for their influence in the trading association, they were the tribe in charge of importing goods into the pack and the Elder controls everything that is being brought in. His own goods had been delayed for months and upon hearing the news that they had finally arrived, he pushed back the party to attend to the merchants before anything else. Springing up from his seat, he cleared his throat, “Lead the way” he commanded. The huge door to the underground storage parted to greet them with whirling noises coming from the ventilators in the basement and the men behind him needed not another word before they knew what to do. It was not their first time after all. They pushed the cart into the huge storage filled with shelves of different types and heights. With his hand glued to his bac
Everyone present was surprised at the way Alpha Draco acted towards the news of the Luna collapsing. It is no news that they weren’t getting along, but her being in that state does call for his attention. Chief Kinn wanted to go in regardless of the command he gave, but Beta Gray stopped her. “What happened to the Luna? Why did she collapse?” he questioned, and the lady turned to answer him. “She came in contact with the virus” she responded, hesitantly. His eyes bulged at the response, “She came in contact with the virus? How?” he could wrap his head around the information being passed to him. Chief Kinn sighed “I don’t know the content of the story but she’s in a critical condition”, she added, and bowed her head slowly. “I will talk to him, please attend to her first”, he assured her, and she left with a heavy heart. She has always been rational and protective of the palace in general, so she didn’t pick a side between the queen and the Alpha, but this situation was different.
Immediately Amy took over, she extended the working hours of the maids to twelve at midnight instead of ten in the night. She made sure that the kitchen made food over and over to her own taste and satisfaction. “There should be no food for the Luna’s quarters. Tell the maid to come down here and prepare the food herself”, she instructed. “You cannot do that, Luna is sick and the only attendant she has is taking care of her. The food should be sent to her quarters”. Chief Kinn tackled her only to be met with a hot slap. Everyone was shocked. She moved closer, “Do I look like I was seeking your opinion? I am the one in charge here, so do as I said before, I have you beaten to shreds!” she gritted, her anger boiling every second. Chief Kinn couldn’t be concerned at her threat, she had lived long in the palace and had enough power to stop herself from being humiliated. “I control all the affairs of the maids and servants here, there is no single one! I mean no single one is exempted
Prince Klaux finished his session of tears and Han advised his aide to take him back to his room in order to prevent others from knowing about his current vulnerable state.“I will tell you when she’s awake and we will surely find the cure, she cannot die” she assured him before sending him off.Han spent all night tendering to Helena, who was busy groaning in her sleep. She was sweating profusely and in a lot of pain. Even though Han was so weak and tired, she managed to pull through and tend to her without sleeping off.She finally lost the battle to sleep and slept off beside Helena. Slight brushes of fingers around her forehead made her withdraw her head before opening her eyes to see Helena beside her. She was already awake but something was weird. She had taken her bath and changed her outfit.Helena questioned, scanning her from head to toe “How did you…?” and she cut in “Did I change my clothes and take my bath? Well, that’s because I am fine now” she replied.Han had to grope
He was surprised at the sudden soberness of someone who almost broke down the whole building just to seek audience with him. He was already expecting her to attack him with the degree of rage she came in with but here she was on the floor, on her knees, groveling on behalf of her master. “What did you just say? I couldn’t hear” he asked, leaning forward. “Please save Luna, she’s at the brink of death. She must not die like this” she pleaded, closing her eyes in defeat. “She’s at the brink of death? So what does that have to do with me? What should I do about that? Why are you disturbing the peace of my chamber just because of the Luna who is at the brink of death?” he growled, his voice shook everywhere. She stood there absorbing all the growls and screams while folding her wrists to suppress the anger she felt as the harsh words fell from the lips of the cruel Alpha. “You really shouldn’t be acting like this, my Alpha!” she responded, fighting tears with all her might. Alpha Dra
ALPHA DRACO’S POV I didn’t know I still had a space for her in my heart until I heard she was dying. The thought of me not being able to see her anymore pricked my heart and made it an unbearable pain. How could she die just like that? How am I supposed to carry on? The hatred that surges inside of me whenever I see her is the only reason why I am still living. I would have died long ago. If she’s dying, then there will be no one to channel my hate on anymore and that would be a time-stopping moment in my life. However, I was not sure if I was acting out of hatred and confusion when I saw her frail body in front of me. She was almost lifeless, all her energy and strength had disappeared. I tried calling her name but nothing came out, it had been years since I called her by her name. It was too heavy and difficult to say. “He…le ..Helena” I finally was able to call out her name after so much effort and she slowly opened her eyes to look at me even though they were still slightly b
Amy finally hears from the spies she planted about what happened at Helena’s quarters and how Han broke into the Alpha’s chamber. Her brows cocked at the news “You mean her aide broke into the Alpha’s chamber after beating up all the maids in front of the door?” she questioned again to be sure. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing. The informant nodded aggressively to confirm her curiosity and her fist folded. “That incumbent snub!” she cursed under her breath. Adjusting her position, she asked further. “So what happened next? What did the Alpha say? What exactly did she tell the Alpha after barging in?” “No one knew what they both discussed, but one thing was surprising.” “And what was it?” her neck stretched forward. “The Alpha sprinted to the Luna’s chamber. I have never seen him worked up that way in my years of serving him. It was as if he realized something he didn’t know all this while”, the spy explained. “So where is he now? Is he still in her chamber? I heard sh
