Laura meets an accident

Ella's POV.

I decided not to go to work today, so I could take care of my mother. Leaving her alone in this situation would not have been good at all. She needed someone to be there for her, and that was me, her only daughter. We talked and talked until she calmed down.

I checked my phone and time had really flown so quickly. Laura was already out of school, and she was possibly waiting for me to pick her up. She only wanted me to pick her up after school because she hated the school bus.

I quickly got my car keys and headed out of the house. Since my mother was sleeping, there was no use of waking her up since I knew I would be back in a few minutes. My heart raced a little, and I was so restless. I totally forgot about my daughter, and she was not used to me picking her up late from school. I just hoped she was patient enough and waited for me.
