*BRIANNE’S POV*

He was silent for a moment, his hands gripping his knees so tightly that his knuckles turned white. When he finally spoke, his voice was hoarse. “You’re just giving up on us?

“No,” I whispered. “I’m trying to give you the chance to do the right thing.”

Jordyn’s jaw tightened, and he stood up suddenly, pacing a few steps away from me. “The right thing?” He repeated, his voice bitter. “The right thing would’ve been telling Amelia from the start that I didn’t want to be with her. That I wanted you.”

I closed my eyes, letting the tears I’d been holding back fall. “But you didn’t, Jordyn. And now there’s a baby involved. We can’t change that.”

He turned to face me again, his eyes dark with frustration and sadness. “So that’s it? You’re letting me go?”

I stood up then, stepping closer to him. I’m not letting you go because I don’t love you,” I said, my voice trembling. “I’m letting you go because I do love you. And I want you to be the father your child deserves.”
